I traveled up to Gosford last night and sat in the cold and rain only to witness what we all know happened.
Normally, a loss doesn't bother me too much. But now, after a few that have contained the same ill-discipline, stupid errors, bad positioning and judgement from the majority of the team on the field, I'm getting worried.
Like a lot of you, I like to show optimism in the hard times. But at the moment, this team is making it more difficult with every week that goes by.
Clearly, last night called for some simple footy, that of which we didn't provide and the Broncos brought in bundles. In fact, the only thing that has come out of the game last night that is positive is that we're now known as the only team that put any points on the Broncos in the 2nd half this season.
If we don't have any kind of change against the Dragons next week, I'm inclined to start thinking that we're not even a top 8 side. It doesn't even have to be a win, just an improvement.
To give you an idea of how I am as a fan, in 2009 I only missed seeing 3 games live the whole season. It was the most I'd been to in a season. That whole crappy season. No matter what I will continue attending matches, but the disappointment in the performances of late will always be there. Something needs to happen soon.
Roosters 'til I die.
