  • Attitude Reflects Leadership.

Watching our squad I'm reminded of that quote from one of the best sporting movies I have seen, Remember the Titans, because it couldn't ring anymore truer for us. Given our attitude we have the leadership of Colonel farking Klink!

Defence is about attitude and we demonstrated last night that we have an abysmal attitude. None of our so called leadership group are worth their spit on or off the field.

Brian Smith needs to stop trying to be their friend and be their coach and that means weilding the axe and stripping the captaincy off Braith Anasta. He is not fulfilling any facet of being a captain or showing any signs that he can lead us anywhere. In fact Smith should dispense with the whole "leadership group" bullshit altogether until such time as some actually shows signs of being one!

Myles, Ryles, Riddell, Mini are not doing anything that would inspire, encourage or enthuse anyone so why should they get to call themselves leaders? The dropped balls, stupid penalties and back-peddling defence is testimont to the lack of leadership we currently suffer.

Their is a rot in our team and it starts and finishes at the top. And it needs to be addressed and fast or this season is over.

    Chook.

    Didn't see much attack.

      Agreed.

It also all starts from the coach.

        I saw his stats this morning -11. Braith Anasta - Five-eighth - 80mins - 29receives - 2runs (17m) - 14tackles = Pathetic.

        Mini was even more appauling - 1. Anthony Minichiello Fullback 80mins - 33receives - 19run (90m) - 3tackle breaks - 4tackles - 3errors - 1 penalty conceeded.

This effort from two of our so called leaders.

        Chook.

Aside from the stats, Anasta was nowhere when the team was under the pump. Late in the second half Easts took 5 tackles to get out of their 30 metres. Anasta stood with hand on hips while SKD,Friend and even Pearce tried to smash us out. I called his performance effeminate because he as a leader bent over and said to the broncos's..."have your way with us".

The only time he fires up is with restarts

Note the irony of you making reference to another WWII T.V. comedy.

I genuinely hope we haven't signed him to an extension, he does not deserve it.
