All winners of GF's and all have their teams always competitive and play with a fighting attitiude for a win...week in week out...
I have seen quite a few Sheens and Hasler coached teams play soft.

Unfortunately that is true of most players in most teams these days.

No doubt in my mind the best games of his career have been for Manly. About time we got a return on our apparently pricey investment.
None taken but as someone else suggested and his family and I agree, he is being wasted in the front row.......

I know many on here will scoff, but I believe we should move him to the backrow, he has tremendous ball skills, and a great pass, but at present is in the mindset that he needs to smash in every tackle, but succeeding in very few....

He has potential.....of this I have no doubt....just not in that position.....

Front row, backrow, lock hooker...do the positions really mean anything today? Was JWH hindered yesterday by having to be in the front row which caused him to drop the ball COLD on the first tackle at the start of the 2nd half? Come on. It's not like he had to play fullback or on the wing? It's all about changing the attitude. Last week Mose started a clash with a Warriors player and I knew immediately we would be on the losing end and we were. Check the attitude on the bus and get out there and play like a professional. Your not going to see Lockyer doing dumb ass stuff to un-settle the opposition.

That is a very sensible sugestion, and while I agree that the positons do not mean much in todays game they do have a lot to do with a players mindset if they are playing out of a position that they have mentally prepared for.....

In saying that, I dont think anyone was mentally prepared for last night, which is ludicrious, because while Lockyer may be older now, he was at one stage in his career, arguably the greatest player of the game and he would not have expected anything less of his team....while ours cant even manage the basics.....

On Jared, I still think its worth a try.....

Add Noyce to that list of idiots. Just heard him on 2GB -
                Q. Will you sack Watts?
                Noyce. Process blah blah blah...
                Q. Are you happy with Todd Carney's behaviour since he was caught drink driving?
Noyce. Generally yes...past is the past blah blah blah...
                Q. Are you aware if Todd Carney was drinking?
                Noyce. No we're not aware.
                Q. Have you spoken to Todd this morning?
                Noyce. Yes.
Q But you don't know if he was drinking?
                Noyce. No.

                Geesus.

                Chook.

I want JWH to succeed but the more this year goes past, the more doubts that I have about him, considering how much impact he had last year. Like I said, if he stopped the sledging, the cheap shots and the over indulging in tackles AS well as watching the ball when he gets passes, he will get back to form. In a simpler way, just do the basics that his positions demands. No one expects him to play dummy half or at number 6.

In short Todd was drinking. If Noyce spoke to Todd, the first thing he would've asked him was if was drinking, and those answers he gave strongly suggests he's trying to cover something up for the meantime. A lot more to come from this, regarding Carney imo.

bloody GEN Y. These clowns dont know how to act. The past 100 years of football etiquette has gone out the window with these pests. The cheek of 'em. Carry on like american basketball players. They don't understand about putting in. It was better when blokes worked, got match payments etc. Today the 'athletes' are not footballers. Simple as that. Plus the coaches, ceo's etc are scared of them.

The names are based on union scrum positions...
Braith played 2nd row all last season without anybody (even top pundits) noticing.

Union has props (fat guys), hookers (little guy with no neck), 2nd rowers (big blokes), break aways (big fast blokes) and your number 8 (big and fast... okay with a ball.) If you watch union then the names make sense and are important.

... league? They always seem to pack scrums strategically out of position and nobody cares. Sure there's some difference, but not much TBH. I get forwards and centres confused in league 'coz it's more of a running game and forwards line up like extra union centres rather than all packing in for rucks/mauls. (Or is that just our forwards who avoid all the action?)

I think some of the smarter clubs have made up their own roles for each position and the "scrum position" names are largely irrelevant in league. Hooker in particular (granted you can't hook the ball legally.)

I was referring why someone like JWH has an issue with playing front row instead of second row etc... All the positions now are irrelevant if you play in the scrum. I wasn't after an explanation of how the positions were based. I ave played union myself. Non the less thank you for taking the time.

I also noticed the players having a laugh with the Broncos after the match. I wasn't impressed. Hell even when I play social sport competitions, I come off unhappy after a loss. It takes me a while before I even contemplate having a laugh with my team mates, let alone the opposition

Roc, I never once mentioned that Jared has an issue with where he is playing....Infact i am pretty sure the issue has never entered his head....it was just something his Bro and I had been tossing around.....

Hyperthetical, and coming from his bro and his Union background, we think completely relevent....but its our opinion.....thats all....

It was pouring rain, and windy.

Never will I be going to any Gosford match in future.
I had the second worst day I've ever had at the footy.

                                It won't be happening again.

And it was our home game...baaah!
