He's overrated. For all the good things he does which amount long kicks where he gets a 40/20 once in a while he also has a crap running game and add to that his pathetic, predictable inside passes. Every week he gets a halfback lesson from his opposite 7, this week it was Wallace, next week it will be Hornby.

what game where you watching? the only thing getting out of our half was pearces kicking, but some lackluster defence gave the broncos easy metres all the way back. showing what a petty moron you are when the first person you want to attack after a poor performance is pearce.

Pearce was actually one of our better players tonight, doesn't say much because they were all shit. His kicking game has been crap for the last month but tonight his kicking was much improved.

what exactly did you want him to do, create attacking opportunities from 40 metres out. Lockyer and Wallace had field position, especially in the 2nd half, pearce's kicking out of our own half was the only thing that stopped us leaking 20-30 points more than we did.

he might not have provided anything gamebreaking or outstanding but he played a shitload better and smarter than BJ did regardless of how long they've been playing.

As far as Roosters halfbacks go, Pearce is near the bottom of the heap for mine. Hastings, Mayes, Junee, Lam, Spina even Kurt Sherlock were much better. If I had to rank Pearce he might be a tad in front of Brad Burke.
