    I hope I am wrong.
    The Carney factor?

I tend to think this is a consolidation season more than anything. We just had a cracking season with a fair few of our players having breakout seasons, but we probably need to solidify our position as a regular finals team, with anything after that as a bonus. We also need the likes of Leilua, Masoe, Linnett, Tasi, Cordner and Naughton to either cement or earn a spot in the side.

Speaking of Tasi I find it strange he didn't get more of a run in the trials, looks like he's down the pecking order in terms of first grade.

Was he injured this week? Even against the Dogs with a weakened team he only got limited minutes off the bench.

Possibly needs a year to be indoctrinated into the ways of the Rooster? Hmmm.... that sounded very spiritual. He's off to China to live in a monastery and learn the ancient art of Rooster...

Not having Todd Carney on the field was a massive factor.

I only caught the last 15mins of the U20s. Does anyone know how Cordner went?

I showed up to watch all of NYC just to see how Cordner went. The whole team was pretty poor but he went ok without doing anything special. I think they will keep him in NYC all year to get a year of good footy behind him without the pressures of first grade.

                A few things i noticed from the footage;

                * The brake that the Tigers made early in the game came after Tuqiri played the ball then interfered with Kennedy at first marker allowing the Tigers player to go through. Archer naturally misses that one.

                * The Friend try should have been awarded, the Tigers player who deliberately and theatrically bumped into Mose then fall down like he had been shot had no chance in hell of catching him. Deserved an academy award for that one, and naturally Archer blows a penalty against us!

                * The possible try that come from some messy lead up play and toed through looked like a try, but naturally Archer turns a blind eye to it.

                * The Tigers get a penalty from Roosters being off side at a scrum after the lock keeps the ball in at the back of the scrum. Didn't know that was now allowed rugby union style??????????? Also from what i saw, wasn't the Roosters meant to get the feed to that scrum???????????

                * Was a pi$s weak attempt of a tackle from Mose on Lui, allowing Lui to go straight through him for a gift soft try. He would want to pull his finger out there to be ready for round 1

                * The last thing i noticed was that Archer is still a c*nt, and refuses to give us a fair go even in a f**king trial game for f**k sake!!!!!!!!!!!

He probably thinks he's doing us a service by showing us how the reffing will be for the rest of the season...

Just had a look at that. One of the problems though was that we didn't have a second marker. I think it was Ryles (?) slow to get back after being in the tackle on Tuqiri. Maubs was also responsible for a bad miss after our markers were breeched. But as I've noted elsewhere, it was his first game back (early) from surgery. He definitely needed the hit-out last night.

Isn't Archer kind and considerate like that! Please God, let Bob Fulton's cement truck run Archer over before he get the chance to ref us ever again!! Amen!

                                Soft Tries

I seen the 3 tries the Tigers got against us, and it was the old soft goal line defence, back again, Z grade defence on our line, 3 grandmothers would of scored those tries, I just hope these blokes have their head on right, and not believing all the hype. We'll soon find out, wont we.
