I'm pretty sure he's banned from driving until 2012?

Noyce was on the deadset legends this morning talking about the DUI.
he mentioned something along the lines that Todd had earned alot of credit points but has also lost alot with this.
From that, it seems that the club has a credit system, where points can be earned with good behaviour, but lost with bad behaviour, i take it once you run out of these credits, you are out.

there has been rumours for a couple of months of the drinking culture returning to the club, just hasn't been a criminal incident the media could hype up until this morning.
don't be surprised to see Friend also pulled from tonights game.
not sure what is going on with JWH but he was only called up from tonights match because Conn was injured, otherwise it was a run out for Newtown.
hate to say it but could the wheels be falling off even before the season starts.
Smith didn't look happy at the press conference for the Foundation Cup, maybe he knew there are some underlying issues at the moment.

You really do wonder if there is anything between Todd's ears other than hot air. In consideration of his latest alcohol involved indiscretion it seems not.
I think everyone expected him to fall back at some point during the off-season. It would have been unrealistic to think he would persist without alcohol when he didn't have the looming prospect of a game on the weekend and when he was without the intense scrutiny he did have on him during the season.
It doesn't make it any less disappointing though. I really hope Smithy pulls him in by the ear and give them a nice little talking to.
The club will certainly deliver some big punishments (Carney's contract would have been riddled with various behaviour clauses) and the police will probably treat him harshly when considering how bad his record is.
Will be interesting to see the fall out, but as a supporter I'm pretty angry. The morning before an important trial too. His teammates would be less than impressed.
Edit: Oh and JT, a tragedy is nice way of summing him up. Amazingly talented player who seemingly has the world at his feet. His only problem is his fatal flaw; his inability to control himself around alcohol.Last edited by Cindy14; 02-26-2011, 11:18 AM.

not trying to sugar coat it, but last year he had the Fart lighting incident while on the piss where his friend was taken to hospital, we remember the media surrounding that.
Smith put him in his place.
This could be the incident needed again to focus him for the new season........
personally, he shouldn;t need to be read the riot act by the coach each time he screws up, self control is what is needed.

Carney's a footy player... I struggle to blow 0.05 the next morning unless I've had a loooooooot to drink. How much would Carney have to have had the night before?
So close to the start of a promising season this is absolute BS!!!! Can't believe it!!!!!!
Guess he has a criminal record anyway, so not the end of his life (or footy career)... but I think he needs to be banned from the booze again.
