THis year, the fact we have depth is what's awesome, and it's almost across the park.
We know BJ isn't a longterm winger, but he's very talented and he's only a kid so he'll go alright.
Graham/Carney/Perrett - proven first grader wingers.
Linnett - the smoky, he looks like a quality centre to me, so I hope he puts it all on the line to secure that position.
If not, we could easily see Maubs or BJ there, and that's what I love when you have depth.
P.S Can't belive we are $9 at the Tabatha

The same thing is happening with the ball-player moving moving off the mark. Like they had no chance to "clean it up" last year when the likes of Perrett were taking an extra few metres with every single hit up.

Do people really think Leilua will keep a wing spot when Carney is challenging him for it?
Leilua was a liability on the wing at times last year, particularly on our line in defence. He couldn't read the attack at all.
Linnett you'd hope is safe. He's got the makings of a quality first-grade centre, and I'm hoping in his second year with some confidence and more size he will kick on and show the tryscoring ability he did as a junior and for Newtown.

I would have used a term like 'solid' first grader......Nothing special, but will do the job!

Don't get me wrong, I don't expect Linnett to play rep. That's why I stopped short at saying he could be a quality first-grader.
However I do think he could be a good centre option for us for years to come. His defence is great, he looks like he has a good footy brain, and he has the speed and height to turn into a handy try-scorer. He showed this in the lower grades, hopefully he can do it at the next level now.

He's certainly no superstar, but he gets the basics right and he's pretty safe....that's what we need in the other centre position because we have the flair and unpredictabilty of Skids on the other side.
