  • Trials form means something........

2 seasons ago when we had our worst season everwe were hammered by the drag queens 60-0 in Perth, our coach sitting eating donuts and laughing at our errors, we led Parra 16-0 at campbelltown, dropped every second ball, once again the players attitude stunk, we were hammered in the second half, we had this same argument about trial form.

You may not get points for trials, but it gives a very good indication of your players attitude towads the season, fitness level, ball handling and most importantly depth in key areas.

Dont be fooled by lol@souffs excuses or talent not playing, having all these big money earners means thier depth sucks, fatso will be lucky to touch the ball with that halves combination.

There is still planty of player unrest over the G.I signing, the place is a shambles.

    Roosters by 30 round 1

I agree with most of that pwn, there are signs the place is in fractures before a ball is even kicked in anger like we were in 09. I do think Burgess is the kind of no-nonsense kind of guy who could carry Souths on his back at times so I'm not completely writing them off for Round 1 yet, I am feeling rather confident about a victory though.

Sounds alright in theory, unfortunatley we have a knack of loosing the games we should win..2010 cowboys sharks etc! souffs will turn up, they will be trying to get off to a good start to the season and GI BURGESS and LUKE will make a difference.Hope we kick arse but don't count your chickens.

Trial form of course does mean something, but its not the be all and end all. You don't want to get thumped but tis not the end of the world as long as the basics are there. In Souths case it would appear that their attitude to defence hasn't improved and their halves haven't developed at all. The defence can be improved with a lot of focus on it at training over the next few weeks, but the lack of spark from the halves would be a major concern. This will be alleviated somewhat once Isaac Luke comes back but I can see Inglis becoming a frustrated player if he continually receives poor service from the men inside him. He's been driving a Ferrari now he's being asked to get around in a Prius so it will take some adjusting for the big fella.

what I find strange is that the Bunnies have no further trials after getting pumped by the Titans on the weekend, means a fair break now until the start of the season, they would have to be fairly rusty heading into round 1, with half their starting side barely having a pre-season thanks to various surgeries.

good to hear that Burgess is unlikely to suit up in Round 1, one of the few Bunnies that actually plays with a bit of heart.

will be interested to see what approach Smith takes with our side for the Foundation Cup, there is a few players that have been under injury clouds that could use a good hitout before the season starts or does he take a risk free approach with the hope of being close to full strength come round 1.

I don't care whose playing for them or how much we beat em by...as long as we beat em!

                      Chook.

Sheens had an almost full strenght squad last week against parra and lost, he will be looking to turn it around at FC game. Smith will be looking to get all available players some game time before rnd1, both teams will be looking to win and take some form into rnd1.
