One of the Sydney Roosters newest signings Anthony Watts is recovering well after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in pre-season training before Christmas.

Watts says his recovery is slightly ahead of schedule and is planning for a return just before the half way mark of the season.

“It is feeling really good at the moment and the whole rehabilitation process has gone smoothly without any hiccups so I’m really pleased with how it’s going,” he said.

The former Cowboy has already begun running in a straight line and will begin sideways movement over the next month.
