I'm currently in a mini war against some Rabbitohs fans on the event set for the Round 1 clash on Facebook.
Every time one of them posts something, I feel bad for humanity.
Here's a snippet..
"roosters win a few cames they get a big crowd of about 8000 they loose there lucky to have 2 fans... we win a few games we get bigger crowds! and when we loose were still proud enough to say we support south sydney
so how about shut your mouths ay"
My rebuttal..
"I don't know where all these Souths fans are coming up with calculations but our home average crowd for this year was 16,184. Include all games with the 4 Finals matches thrown in for good measure and you have an overall average of 21,172. Of the 20 highest crowd attendances for the year, the Roosters featured in 5 of them, Souths 2. Granted that 3 of ours were finals matches but the Souths ones were away matches and were 18th and 19th on the list.
If you would like to take it back to when crowd attendances were official from 1957 until 2010, I've got those figures too.
The Roosters 2009 season was one of the worst years for any club ever. On and off field 'drama' all the way through. I'm proud to be Red, White & Blue regardless. When all the dust settled on that year and I think back to it, I can't help but come to the conclusion "At least I don't follow South Sydney".
So consider my mouth shut."
