Obviously by friend the no brain thinks smith isnt up to it either by wanting to bring in a pensioner on the books. Is he a tosser too??
Players spend 10-20 years learning their craft,,,,can you say the coach cant learn anymore?
I can remember back in 03 asking Stuart if he watched the 03 GF -he said know I never will .My reply was then youve learnt nothing and you will lose again next year . Coaches learn all the time -ya reckon Bennet hasnt had any downers?
Smith need a mentor -no but could he learn some thing from the old fella ofcourse he can.

My whole point is that I would rather see Massey with Smith than with Bennet especially against us .It got my attention GF day and I didnt like it.I commented to a mate that old fella can make a difference and I wish he was with us.
Now you have to revert to character calling.

Thats the first time massey has attended a game since bennett has been there. He came down for the GF for his son and Bennett decided to get the old bloke out of the rain. no mentor role!

Rons at that stage of his life that he would need reminding who the players are on a constant basis. A great football mind of yesteryear, but nobody can stop the progress of father time. We may as well have Rain Man or Steady Eddy as an assistant coach, they would be as good as Ron these days.

I heard a rumour that the Rain Man and Steady Eddy would be lining up in the centres for the Vermin this season. Could be difficult since the Rain Man died a year or so ago but probably still an improvement on their 2010 pairing.

Would be a great signing. Two coaches who have never won anything together, with JT there to spoon them both.

It could work well. Smith can do his usual of pissing players off, and Brown could slap them.

I wonder if Smith will go down in history as the best to coach to never win a thing?

Yeah he's be great at slapping the players into shape!

Seriously - you have no idea do you.

The guy achieved nothing as a player and then nothing as a coach. So lets surround ourselves with underachievers.

Why don't you go to your new sponsor and put a bet on it. Oh wait, Rusty may not approve.

if smith goes the same way as every other club he has been with i dont think he will be around for long (and he has never finished a contract)
Dude in the words of the great Ronald gould. "wow"

Someone else who sees Smith like I do

It's not popular here. The fickle fans love short term success.

Smith will not win a comp at the roosters.

In fact, his best is already behind him

If you think about , the only thing he has perfected is pulling clubs off the canvas

I don't see what is so difficult to see about that.

He is light years away from understanding the tapestry of a premiership.

So by that reasoning Jack Gibson would have been consigned to the scrap heap well before 1974.
