I'll second that. When I saw him at the coaching clinic..my first thoughts were "Look at the belly on that guy..he has some work to do". He looks like he's swallowed a small cat!Exonerate the West Memphis Three - www.wm3.org

geez if that is Kheirallah he has hit the gym hard in the offseason, size was always a concern in making the leap between NYC and first grade, has a nose for the tryline could possibly in the mix for the left wing spot.Originally posted by gallus gallus View PostIt's Mark Kheirallah.

He won't lose any power by dropping fat off his body.Originally posted by Headless Chook View PostImagine how much power he also loses by dropping that weight!
I wish my weight was as 'dead' as Carney's!
Dead weight is referred to body fat - of which he still has quite a bit. It serves no purpose other than slowing him down. It doesn't create any power.

you must know somthing the conditioners and fitness trainers have missed, I suggest you head down to training and get the boys going in the right direction!!!Originally posted by BigMike View PostHe won't lose any power by dropping fat off his body.

Conditioners and fitness trainers don't monitor the stuff players throw down their throats. They are there for guidance, the players are the ones responsible for executing the instructions.Originally posted by beguurk View Postyou must know somthing the conditioners and fitness trainers have missed, I suggest you head down to training and get the boys going in the right direction!!!

Last time I did physics it went a little something like this;Originally posted by BigMike View PostHe won't lose any power by dropping fat off his body.

Velocity(power) = Mass X speed
The bigger the object is and the faster it moves, the more powerful it will be, dropping kg's may increase his speed marginally but will exponentially decrease his power.
This is why you don't see many 90kg frontrowers.
Fail.

Mass x speed = momentum (better related to your 90kg front rower example)Originally posted by gallus gallus View PostLast time I did physics it went a little something like this;

distance/time = velocity
work/time = power
anyway as far as relating this to rugby league, more specifically to the winger position, acceleration and speed are the most crucial pieces (when speaking about athletic ability).
Carney has a powerful build, which allows him to run closer to the ground and have better balance, any increase in acceleration will see him become a monster. Shedding the fat will make that happen.

The guy has a fat gut. Period.
He looks WAY under done compared to the other guys in the team. Even Mosoe has a six pack mun.Exonerate the West Memphis Three - www.wm3.org
