hi ive bin an easts follower since i was 7[when i started playing league]. like most supporters never wavered win or lose.i attend my first fan day[2010 grandfinal training day]. with my 2 sons aged 11 n 7 [also roosters followers by there choice!] . it was a great opportunity to see the players n have a quick chat with some of them, the boys loved it. i and my sons were overwelmed by the desperate behaviour of fans both adult n junior. manners and respect for privacy from so called hard core fans were nonexistant .my observation was that the players were just doing what they had to with those fans . spending more time with people who showed respect. people need to remember these guys are normal people who play rugby league at the highest level. they deserve respect. there own space, and most of all to good fan behaviour!hope i see fans at my next fan day treating the players more like human beings not like prized toys.go the roosters n merry xmas to all!

Ouch, there isn't a more nasty insult you can give a poster, especially if he is a Roosters supporter.

Here, in the spirit of Christmas and good cheer, I've re-written your original post.

It was a great opportunity to see the players and have a quick chat with some of them and my boys really enjoyed the experience.

My sons and I were overwhelmed by the desperate behaviour of fans both old and young because manners and respect for privacy from so called hard-core fans was non-existent. My observation was that the players were just doing what they had to with those fans whereas they spent more time with people who showed respect. People need to remember these guys are normal people who play rugby league at the highest level. They deserve respect, their own space and most of all good fan behaviour! Hope I see fans at my next fan day treating the players more like human beings and not like prized toys.

Go the Roosters and Merry Christmas to all!

I'm sorry if I stepped on your foot in my insane rush to touch Anasta's beautiful head of hair. Send my apologies to the kids as well, hope this teaches them a lesson. Only the tough survive in this world

You did say one thing right.....

the guys are just normal people, and they do enjoy interacting with the fans...

If you stood back embarassed, then I feel embarassed for you, and I will continue to have my conversations and get my hugs and kisses off my boys, not because they feel they have to, but because they are great blokes who appreciate their fans and some of whom we actually get to call friend due to spending that extra bit of time talking to them instead of standing back....
But whatever makes you happy I guess......
