The Merge hammered B.J with those high balls and he had a screamer of a game.....And he's not even a winger!
This kid is going to be something special!
To be honest I have been waiting for some fool to blame BJ. Playing out of position I thought he was very poor yesterday. In my opinion he was our weakest link and was exposed badly. BJ is a superstar of the future but his place will be in the backrow not on the wing. Good on you BJ, get better for the experience and kill them next year.
The hardest part is finding a position for him... he's a great target for an attacking high ball, strong, can finish well.. but is he a winger, centre or 2nd rower?
Agree that he will be something very special and also that he is not a winger just yet.
But I think that is where he play next year. I don't think he is big enough to be in the backrow yet and with the likes of Anasta, Maubs, Myles, FPN, JWH, Cherro, Symonds (did I miss anyone), we already have too many backrowers. He just needs a pre-season learning about defense on the wing and I think he could make a success of it.
I was thinking the same thing and that worries me because we have no shortage of backrowers. Not sure where BJ is going to fit in. The kid is bloody good though.

How was he poor?....
Caught everything they threw at him, set up our first try and ran the ball back with more mongrel than Graham has all year.
If you're talking about Nightingale's tries, he made 1 wrong decision and the other one was pure luck off a shitty pass that went to ground. (They shouldn't have had the pill in the first place because Sammy P was pushed in the back)
Stick to watching ping pong or whatever it is they play in Hong Kong, because you sir, have no idea about the great game of rugby league!
For an 18 yr old kid straight out of school and pushed into a position he's not familiar with he was outstanding in my eyes on the big stage and in the biggest game of the year...did not look nervous or lost out there and they targeted him constantly...he ran the ball back tremendously and if it wasn't for Soward kicking the ball out of his hands he would have scored the try dragging 3 blokes over the line...that's what you would call an amazing effort for a kid to do in a Grand Final...
