I know we trashed Spring Street a bit in 2002 but there was never any malice, just enthusiasm in winning. And we couldn't get into the club straight away either, despite being Easts Leagues & Roosters members and having had game tickets. Just the way the cookie crumbles, we waited patiently, and eventually got in.

Man dies after capsicum spray when Dragons party ends in brawl at St George Leagues Club

The Riot Squad was called in the early hours of the morning when police locked down the club because of serious overcrowding.

Angry fans in the car park vented their frustrations on security guards, with two guards assaulted at the front door.

    Why am I not surprised?

I have also wiped a couple of so-called "friends". After sending Congrats messages on FB and mobile I got nothing back but abuse and ridicule.
It was hard enough to bite the bullet and give them best wishes, but
I've decided to remove negative people from my life as...like most...I have enough worries of my own.
Some neutral friends were kind, though, so that helped.

I hear ya. I have a very good mate, who messaged me during the week saying that his father is very ill, and wont be around much longer, and wanted to call a truce with the banter we had going during the week. I naturally agreed, and wished him and his family well.

Well **** me dead, I log on to facebook this morning and there he is, telling me to "choke on that bitches, **** the chooks, victory tastes like chicken" well i am shattered. I ****ing hate that club and their arsehole supporters with a passion normally reserved for souffs.

The worst part was copping shit from people who support the broncos and cowboys but are all of a sudden massive dragons fans... Also the dragons fans who king hit a guy in front of me for no apparent reason and then ran off while I was leaving the stadium. That one didn't make the news so I am assuming he lived. No thanks to the security guards who ignored the whole thing until the cops and ambos arrived... Useless carnts

            Hate will send you crazy.
Ignoring him, and them, is the best idea.
No more banter, no more mate...all gone!
You'll have a better life without him.

He's no mate, just a crude jerk.

It's only a football game in the scheme of things.

            "Ignore, Ignore"...dance to the beat!!!

Honestly, you do not need people like that in your life.

Cool, calm, rational is the best way to live life.

Just scroll past it all, and read something else.

i was stuck down the dragons end unfortunatly and have never heard anything like it at any sporting event, once they hit the front in the 2nd half the whole stadium was shaking

and while i was actually treated very well by their supporters, there was a hell of a lot of unneccessary abuse being yelled out, when carney was down injured in particular (wouldnt have wanted to have kids there)

Yes, Dragons fans, like their players on the field, seem like exalted gods, 'untouchable' and 'unpenalisable'.

Exalted gods who must be appeased.

Maybe now that a man is dead things will change.
Wouldn't hold your breath waiting though.

The cops only acted about all the intimidation, verbal and physical assaults of beachgoers at Cronulla and environs ... after there was a big huge riot etc.

Yes, intimidating and bashing up Roosters supporters seem like a new sport.

Those security guards should be sacked immediately!

What, do we have to take our own security to games now?

$165 for a ticket...plus another $200 for big huge Samoan to sit next to us and escort us home?

Yeah, it's a bit annoying because he knows full well, had the Chooks won yesterday, he wouldn't have heard from me. I knew he'd be feeling, how I'm feeling now. Unfortunately it clearly doesn't work both ways.

I'm happy they won him a premiership though, because its the only one he'll be able to enjoy. They won't win again next year, and then when Bennett leaves they're as good as done for atleast another 35 years.

The sound of their fans was like a huge Soccer game in England. I thought the ground was going to open up.

Well **** me dead, I log on to facebook this morning
I'm on a facebook ban for the moment. You can't even congratulate their fans graciously they are that full of it.
