Gee, I'm not liking the sound of this. Unfortunately Lopini is a shadow of his former self.
JAubs' ribs must be worse than they're letting on and I never really considered Phil a chance given what Brett Mullins said about the injury.

I thought what Mullins said was pretty retarded:

I played with a worse injury for many weeks 10 years ago, therefore Graham is no chance of playing.

        Uhhhh ok.

The way I read it was that Mullins suggested Phil should get surgery immediately so as to fully recover and on that basis Mullins thought Graham was no chance of playing if Graham was interested in getting his pec fixed.

This is confirming what Brian said on NRL on Fox the other night. If we get an injury in the backs Maubs can cover the centres easily. People tend to forget when Maubs scored both his match winners he was filling in at left centre.

But my ideal team would still be Graham starting with BJ on the bench. As much as I like BJ I would prefer an experienced player in there.

You could read it as follows:

                Graham's back

                Jorbs is there.

BJ dropped as he struggled last week at this pace.

Lopini in for extra starch. If Lopini wasnt so one dimensional this year id be happier. I hope he has glue on his hands.
If Graham is back then BJ will be the 4th bench player.

Saints toyed with Lopini earlier this year. His selection ahead of Masoe would really surprise me. Masoe belted the Saints forwards in defence.

If you read it he says he had no surgery ever.

                  So...

he played with it for another three years after doing it and now it's bad and based on that Graham needs surgery immediately and can't play a game.

what source does the "late mail" come from?

Also, who would replace an injured Friend if we had 4 props?
Yes Maubs or Anasta could cover the outside backs. But no coverage for the key role of hooker...

This was said on Gibbsy's late mail on NRL.com. For memory it wasn't a sure thing.

It's strange that they would say Paea when Mose smashed the Dragons in attack and defence!!

i agree but i have a feeling that if picked, pini could have an absolutely massive game. at his best he was one of the most destructive props in the NRL. this will be his last game, in a grandfinal for his beloved roosters. commeth the moment, commeth the man......
