  • Plan for bay 145

Ok guys, I have been trying to devise a plan for Sunday evening.

I was wanting to do something fun for most of us in bay 145 who wanted to play along but am finding difficult to decide what to attempt. After consulting with Dihard, she has suggested I put my thoughts up here for public opinion and do it based on your thoughts.

Option one... I buy about 150 pairs of yellow rubber gloves for us to wear on our heads when the players take the field. I am finding it difficult tho to find them big enough to fit onto peoples heads. Im sure they do make them but I also have to consider the costs.

Option two... I buy about 600 balloons. 200 of each, red, white and blue and hand them out in 3s so everyone can blow them up and tie them together and wave them over their heads when the players run out and then also during the game. This option is probably the easiest and most cost effective for me. Just got to locate a party shop here in Canberra with enuf balloons!

    Thoughts?

    Filthy, I feel your pain.

I had the same issue in 2002 when i wanted to hand out 500 wooden spoons to Souffs fans to welcome them back.

In the end.......I did it. Bought 500 spoons, a couple of cans of red and green paint and went to it. They went like hot cakes on the night.

    Just do it.

If you hand them out, people will take them. if you ask, they dont want to commit.

Commit the ******s yourself. make the call. Executive decision.

Its a Grand Final. Whats a couple of hunjy for some fun.

          Like the balloons idea.

What about red, white, blue crepe paper cut into lengths to make streamers & tied together one end....hand out for people to wave when the guys hit the field & throughout the game?

The balloons are a fantstic idea filthy, even if you get everyone holding one balloon, it will cover a large area and look fantastic.......then people can throw them in the air.

If somehow you can manage to get the whole bay involved, blow up a picture of the Roosters emblem and have it printed on cards for people in bay 145 to hold up. Each one has a card which fits the bigger picture of the Roosters emblem.

When they turn the card around (everyone has to do it at the same time), it will say "The Red White and Bluesters, The Eastern Suburbs Team".

Would look awesome for the aerial camera and the boys to see running out.

how about..........coloured paper (red, white & blue of course) with the words GO ROOSTERS in black on each one.........hand out & everyone could hold up........create a sea of red, white & blue in the bay Someone's computer & printer is going to be working overtime though but it is a worthwhile cause.
