I have to say that I've never been calmer in the lead up to a big game. We are winners regardless of what happens in the GF. All the pressure is on the socks, while we have had a great season their whole purpose depends on them winning the grand final. Bennett with his smug persona and the fact that he had so much success with a star studded Brisbane team. The way I see it class and ability is going to win the GF on Sunday. I know one thing and that is if Saints don't win it on Sunday then they will have a long wait because I feel that we are only going to get better and better. EASTS TO WIN

Yep. With young teams like the Roosters, Tigers, and Raiders on the up, it will be a very long time before Saints get another opportunity like this.

This game will either make or break the entire St George club and their fans. A win, and they'll be on top of the world, choker tag is broken, they break their 31 year premiereship drought etc etc.

        However....

If they LOSE to last year's "Wooden Spooners", they will be forever tagged (whether its right or wrong) as chokers, they will be labeled as a team that only has two gears when you need a third or a forth to win a grand final.

If they lose, they will be horrified. If we lose, we'll be looking back on what has been an outstanding return to form and one of the quickest and most successful comebacks in NRL history.

This is kinda of a story of two distinct sides. One the fairytale story of the spooners to possible premiers. A bsaket case club last year with the reformed bad boy and the coach who has never won the title. The side that refuses to go down.

On the other side is the club desperate to win, like they have the right to win because they have been denied so long (forget Souths & cronulla). This club with the methodical master coach with a perfect grand final record. The expectation to win the premiership has been high since round 1.

I think if they Rooster lose, the fans should cheer and make more noise for our team than the dragqueens fans for their team of egos.

I was saying to a good mate today I want to win this game more than any in all my 30 years supporting the mighty Roosters.......however I will stand and applaud no matter what for the commitment, effort and true Rooster spirit in which they have performed this season.

It's a nice dream but have you ever seen the Dragons fans? St George is next to Canterbury and there ain't much difference.

Amen to that Brother Cogburn, this is only the beginning for us but it's do or die for the DragQueens.

In 1999 when the DragQueens lost they went back to their club and started to rip it apart. They actually physically damaged their club. That was after 20 years (or no years for the mergers). What are they going to do after 31?
In 2000 when we lost we all came back to Bondi and the only people that rang me were St Mergers asking was I going to rip into my club, idiots. When the players came back to the club we greeted them like heros and the look on their faces was worth the trip to Bondi. The pain of the loss was gone in an instant.
I'm so proud of what they have acheived this year, and mostly the respect we have earned from other supporters all of a sudden. Anything above making the eight has been icing on the cake for me. And the best part is it's been a team effort, including the guys that are back playing for Newtown that did the job earlier in the season, Paea, Guerra, Kouparitsis, Jaubs etc. They all played a part.
But lets not get ahead of ourselves, one more to go!
