    Start Rant

I used to think the scum of the earth was soufs and st merge supporters but I now have a new enemy... Ebay Ticket Sellers. Maybe I should have become a member instead of buying my tickets to the game seperately but I am never certain if I can get to a game with work. I don't mind missing out to other fans but to those scum sucking wankers on ebay who buy all the good tickets early and then flog them off for $500 a ticket should be shot. Why the **** does the NRL let people scalp these tickets. I am happy if the NRL puts up the price of the really good tickets. At least then I am not going to line some ebay ****s pockets! I always thought scalping was illegal but the NRL doesn't seem to care that people are profiteering on Ebay and other sites. Why would anyone want to sell there tickets back to the NRL when they can scalp them for twice the price on Ebay. Maybe next year I will be smart enough to get in early.

    End Rant

    GO THE ROOSTERS!

agreed taking the chance away from fans who want to be there is just mean I hope the sales fall through and they get stuck with tickets

Hey Count, could not agree more.

If you buy from ebay, how do you know if the tickets are legit?

I doubt it, but is there anyway these cannot be copied by someone dodgy?

I heard someone say today that if they're sold at cost price, they're usually legit but if the seller has bumped up the price tenfold, the ticket could be void if caught.

Yeah they can be prosecuted for selling the tickets above their stated value...

I overheard the cab driver (Hadley) whinging to some clueless moron from Ticketek who was passing the buck until Hadley said he would call Andrew Scipione which made him sack up really quick.

I was going to agree with you until I saw the fan segment on Mad Monday of the merge scum.

Nothing could be worse. Not even ferral overpriced ebay scalpers.

I am in two minds about the Ebay sellers. Sure they take tickets off the ordinary fan only to sell them to those that can afford them but if people did not pay the hiked fees then there would not be a market.

So the question must be asked...if you bought 8 tickets to the GF and for some reason 4of those people could not go would your first thought be "sell them on ebay". Now most people would say no on here - because hopefully they would look after their fellow supporter, BUT a lot would flog em and make a nice little earner and use that profit wisely like MORE BEER. What about the scenario where you buy 8 tickets well before the GF and 2 teams make it that you despise. What do you do with the tickets then? Ebay looks pretty good to me.

For me, the decision has been taken out of my hands. Sit at home in front of the TV, with the esky stocked with ice and beer, decorate the lounge room, get the kids faces painted and scream my lungs out as I jump out of my seat. I am trying to convince my brother to attend and he can wash my car as pre game entertainment because of the bet he lost.

I will never buy tickets from ebay but it all about supply and demand.

I would have absolutely no problem selling massively over priced tickets to other teams supporters !

The scenario of a fan selling tickets he bought intending to use is not really what I have a problem with. Most of the tickets on eBay are being sold by "powersellers" with names like ticketman who have overpriced tickets for sale to all the sold out events. They generally have a lot more for sale than the 8 ticket limit so I guess they either work for ticketek or know someone who does. The verdict is still out on whether they are bigger scum than st merge and spuds though

                          I agree.

People who buy tickets with the purpose of making a profit on Ebay are scum, worse than any other teams supporters.

Because I couldn't get a ticket earlier, and don't have a spare 700 dollars cash lying around, I won't be able to see Easts win a Grand Final live for the first time. Maybe if those pricks had woken up and realised how selfish what they're doing is, those who missed out could be there cheering us on.

i have a solution for you countchristo, get a group of friends, log onto ebay and start inflating the price of the tickets..... im sure know sucker is willing to pay for tickets that are $10,000 then the seller will get stuck with them and hopefully lose money and also learn a valuable lesson.... as im not suggesting you actually pay for your bid..... whats the worse that could happen to you and your mates...just look at it as a protest for all those geniune fans without tickets.............just a thought
