  • Something Very Special

This win to put us into the GF is something very, very special.

Not because we are in the big one, but beause of how we have evolved. A group of young players taking on the best over the past 3 weeks we beat the teams that finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

But where it is so very special is because of where we came from last year. Not only last but the club was a basket case. Players and even the coach with their offfield behaviours and then the poor onfield form and sponsors leaving. Fast forward to season 2010 and all that has changed.

This huge turnaround isnt an accident its the result of hard graft, tough decisions and determination. Full credit to the board, the coaching staff and players. This truly is an inspirational story.

Anthony Gelling and Sammy Brunton might have something to say about that!

Well, the Crown Plaza hotel in Terrigal is safe at least.

Well I was thinking about where we had come from and what it has taken to get us to this point and its remarkable. This is all about committment from the board to the players.

This is what the media should be reporting not the crap about or "lucky" wins or the easy run we have had or Anasta wanting out and all the other garbage they write to derail this really special effort.

Well you are right and I am ashamed to admit that last year I wished he would go somewhere else.

A new year and new coach and what difference, Anasta is a great captain & playing brilliant footy.

I sope to a mate of mine who bleeds red and white. He said congrats on the win and told me that of all the teams the Roosters are the team this poor misguided Saints supporter fears the most. Rightly so.

The hugest difference is we're now playing like a champion team rather than just a team of champions. You can truely see the difference in them, even from mid season to now with how they're playing. Someone is always stepping up in every game and being fully supported. If it's not Carney, it's Pearce, or Anasta, or Perrett or SKD and the list goes on and on.

                      I bloody love this teeeammmmmmmmmm.
