I can confirm Smithy told him tonight was his last game in Roosters colours.
He was too emotional - he hasn't been able to land a contract anywhere else.

Exactly... it's not fun being told something like that. Yes it's business... but he just had mixed emotions.

I can understand his devastation, I thought he was good while he was on the field, and has been a trier for us for a long time, unfortunate he just isnt up to the standard of Friend and watts so no room for him in our future, but I hope he finds somewhere, maybe in England. There are many players who play for heaps of years and get nowhere near a GF. This bloke has the chance to be a part of something very special. A part of it like the other 16.

If his part is to be 15 minutes in a GF, then so be it, but its a lot better than so many others get. So James, pull your head in and be part of this really special time.

Not sure what the story is with Jaubs, channel 9 coverage showed a whole heap of him looking down and out after we won, maybe a few remedial sessions with Koups will fix him up.

I have to ask, how do you know this? After all, you said in another thread that you don't follow the Roosters but that bit of information is quite sensitive and suggests someone close to the team or JAubs specifically. Six degrees ...?

I don't blame him for being emotional given the contract situation and given how little game time he gets but I guess his emotions have gotten the better of his professionalism which appears to have been his downfall. Learn from that JAubs.

Totally agree, I thought that was harsh. Friend looked tired toward the end and could have used a break in my opinion.

I direct James Aubusson to John Rheinberger. Perhaps he saw him before the St Merge game a few weeks ago. Rheinberger played a game and a half for the Roosters, including the 1975 Grand Final. He may have only played 100 minutes of League in his life but he has a grand final victory to remember.

Jaubs should grow up.

It's interesting to note after last night's game, Jaubs arrived first in a taxi followed by the Roosters bus with the rest of the team.
