  • Marshall - Pearce incident, 3rd man in.

Did anyone else see it? I didn't get to see which gutless Tigpies player it was. He ran in and took Pearce out, flattened him, just after JJ and Marshall exchanged blows. Should have been sent off as 3rd man in. Or have they scrapped that rule?

It only applies when an Easts player is third man in.

I noticed that on the night and on the replay but I don't know who it was.

Gutless. Only makes me even happier their try was denied.

        I think it was Heighington.
I don't think it was too bad, watch all the footage, he and Pearce get up patting each other on the back.

Heighington seems to be very protective of his fellow players where as someone like Thaiday uses it as an excuse to hit people

Was just trying to break it up. No malice at all.

                          Play on!

Well, unless they score a try.

Not a stupid question. He ran in and took out Pearce. Third man in. Ofcourse any player would rush to help a team-mate, but it is still third man in, a send-off offence. Had he grabbed his jumper to pull him away, different story.

He pulled Pearce on top of himself he didn't jump on Pearce. Not really a case of third man in!!
