For Mat Rogers' last home game he had special boots made. He auctioned one pair for the big money and raffled another pair for the people who can't afford the big dollars being asked. I'd like to see the club do something similar. Starting price at $500 is pretty rich... I'm all for charity fund raising but would like to see the fans rewarded a bit too sometimes.

What a great idea MDNF! A raffle would give everyone a fair chance. Why can't our club or players be generous enough to think of this?

Too right. There are currently 7 jerseys with no bid. Even if they start at $100, if the market says they are worth more than $500 then it will get there but atleast give those who can't afford $500 an opportunity. Can't you buy fully signed jerseys for $500?

makes me think the money isn't going to charity

if it was it would surely be part of the pitch

"buy a roosters jumper and support such and such charity"

They're probably trying to get all the money back that they have poured into the nest!

re: the raffle. they could choose a big match (maybe round one, ANZAC day or a great win from the season), and afterwards all members go in the draw to win one of the jerseys. Something like that might get more people to buy memberships
