  • I'm wondering what we do at training during the week

I can't believe that for 5 weeks in a row we have produced the same crap.

we are going straight out the finals backdoor based on what we have shown over the last 5 weeks, absolutedly no respect for possesion, lazy forward pack.

without a doubt we are the dumbest team in the competition and unless we get a brain transplant during the week we are going right out the finals backdoor.

Ever since that Parramatta match when everything we touched turned to gold we have played as if we need to score every set of six......it's ****ing frustrating and I have no idea why this problem hasn't been resolved.

Couldn't of put it any better myself Fletch.

This team is too stupid and will do shit all in the finals. They interview Anasta after every game and its the same ****ing story. 'Oh, we were ill-disciplined, we didn't show enough patience rah rah rah'.

Yet game, after game, after game they do the SAME ****ING THING!

This team is so capable of brilliance. Sometimes (that parra game in particular) I just sit back and watch in awe of our youngsters. When they click they rip apart teams with ease.

They are very doctor Jekyll, Mr Hyde though. For all their wonderfulness they're riddled with errors, rely on confidence and are as vulnerable as anyone against shit teams.

I'm not expecting anything next week based on their recent form. Hopefully they don't embarrass themselves.

I am expecting the roosters to perform next week - these kids have come a hell of a long way ahead from where they were last year - and I am not just talking re the NRL ladder!!! These kids had a lot to learn (abd still do) and I too hope that they dont lay down in the coming weeks!!! The nerves, the anxiety and the EXPECTATION lays heavily upon their shoulders - lets get behind them - send supporting emails to the players - build their confidence - that what their coach will want!!!!

The good thing about these finals is that most of the teams in the eight don't have much recent finals experience. I think you'll see some very interesting games just based on that element.

Dropping those games against the Sharks and Titans really ****ed us up, I agree. And the first 40 minutes against Manly was just atrocious.

But with players being rested and coming back from injury, I think (and hope), the best is about to come.

                    Good post fletch.

Same old dumb footy for a long time now, trying to score on every ruck.

I hope we get to kick off. I would hate to start the game with a dropped ball.

                        That was truly Barnhillesque.

I think we might struggle next week, simply because the Tigers play with confidence. It might not always come off, but they back themselves and with time that has more often than not worked for them. We had a few bad weeks and since then have dropped our head and gone back to the bad old days, panicking and rushing plays=errors!

Yes, agree with many of above points.

But. If we turn up, we can still beat anybody in this comp.

I don't like it, but we underplay against under-teams.

We will be more than nuisance value for the tigers next week.

It appears that we are one of those teams whose form rises and falls depending on the opposition. When we play the less dangerous teams, our form falls away accordingly. It's like we become infected by the oppositions incompetence. When we play a top team - a real challenger - we lift, along the same trajectory as the opposition.

There's a lot of Brad Fittler in this team, and in Carney, especially. Remember for the bulk of Fittler's career, he would cruise through the "easy" games, and lift for the big occasions. A similar thing has happened with Carney this year. He'll get that out of his game. But for now, it's there.

It's no coincidence that our best form this year, coincided with a run of high pressure games against semi final aspirants -- Souths, Canterbury, Brisbane, Parramatta and St George. We then hit the wall against another also-ran in Cronulla, lost a tight one to Gold Coast, before rebounding against another contender in Manly.

The good news is, the occasion gets bigger next week.
