  • Trent Robinson taking players with him to France

looks like Trent Robinson has started signing a few Roosters to take with him to Catalans in France, with Jason Baitieri already signing and Towers and Paea rumoured to be following as well.

You might have got things a bit mixed up. I heard on the radio this morning he had signed with Catalan Dragons as a replacement for Cowboys-bound Dallas Johnson.

              Good luck to them..

There is a lot to be said for being in your early twenties and being paid quite good money to go and live in France playing footy for a couple of years...

This had to happen and I'm preparing myself to hear of other players going that I would rather have stay at the Roosters but whom I can't blame for going. Best of luck to Jason, I wish him well.

boys from nyc told me Trent really wanted FPN, but Frankie said he will play out his contract end of 2011, and then see what happens from there.

Very interesting news that mcgrady. One would have thought that Robinson would have been prevented from doing such things ...

Wanting to take NRL first-graders to France, and actually taking them, are two different things LR....

Yes I understand that PtB so my comment was more along the lines of Smith and/or Politis saying to Robinson, "You have my blessing to go to France and I wish you well, however, you are to do nothing to weaken the Roosters by talking to players you know are in the Roosters' long-term plans about following you to France." Such a directive would have avoided the kind of news that mcgrady imparted if what he has told us here is true.

FPN has really gone off the boil over the last 6 weeks, whether it was his calf injury or this mystery breathing issue he has been very ordinary recently, he has only averaged about 5 hitups a match over the last couple.
