The way the Roosters are playing at the moment, I would happily settle for top eight let alone top four.

Even with two wins in a row, it is now very tough for the Roosters to come fourth. In all likelihood, two wins would mean a fifth place finish. One win would mean a seventh place finish. Two losses would mean just scraping in on points differential (hopefully it doesn't come to this). This relies on probably results in other games (which in itself is unlikely).

This competition throws up so many unexpected results so often that there is hardly any point speculating. All the Roosters can do is continue to try hard against Manly and North Qld and that will give them a decent chance.

One game at a time, as it were.

If it comes to it, I would hate for the Roosters to have to play the worriers in NZ.
