The brilliance and ineptitude displayed in the last two months confirms once and for all that we are very much a work in progress. I will be very happy to simply make the finals (not confirmed yet) after last year and focus on building for the future.

On the positives our side has a great deal of character which provides a solid foundation to build upon the prodigious yet erratic talent of our young players. On our day we are capable of beating anyone, lets hope that day arrives next Sunday against the Eagles.

I wouldn't be slashing my wrists just yet. We gave them way too much possession and the Tits were quite fortunate with most of their tries.

If someone slaps Pearce around to tell him how important possession is then we are still a hope.

I really expected us to be far more direct and play smart football up the guts.......but the side to side shit prevailed again.....disappointing.

Why'd you right Pearce when you meant Carney?

Mitchell was inspiring out there tonight. Direct, passionate and a leader. Noone followed him. Carney was hopeless, unfortunately. Couldn't catch a cold.

Pearce was definately the better of the Two......but neither of them seem to have the ability to get repeat sets. Prince beats them hands down in that department.

We were brought back to reality by St George. We've had the loss we needed to have. The losses against the Sharks and Titans are inexcuseable and have risked our position in the 8.

We must beat Manly and the Cowgirls.

Promising and not far off the mark. Played a much better side but we didn't come off to bad. Just need the little things to stick. It has been and good year and it ain't over yet.

True, it is an area of their game that needs work. But Prince got some damn fine bounces out there.

If Pearce's kick rolls instead of popping up into the arms of Zillman, it's a drop out and repeat set.

                  It's a funny game.

We have been in a winning position at the 20 minute mark in each of the last 3 games. Instead of controlling the game with repeat sets we have tried to flog the opposition by scoring of every set and handing them cheap possession. In the Saints and Tits game we lost the game in the subsequent 10 minutes as they dominated possession and tired our forwards with the repeat sets as we should have done.

Yeah the luck was going there way with the bounce but Prince does seem to produce a lot of luck and not just in this game.

Smithy seemed very relaxed in the press conference.

The last three games have all been about execution. We just haven't made the right decisions at crucial times plus tonight we just didn't get the bounce of the ball.

Titans first try, ball bounces backwards.
Perrett drops a sitter and they score virtually unchallenged.
Pearce grubbers, Zillman gets the perfect bounce and runs away. Easy try to Toopi.
                        Perrett incorrect play the ball.
Perrett sprints away and should have taken the tackle but passes a howler.
Anasta has a Falcon and in the clear and ref calls double knock-on.
Carney dropped more ball tonight than he did all year.

Yet we finished within 9. We are close but we need to get the basics right.
