I actually care about this loss enough to be angry. That means something. This time last year I had to feign interest whenever we scored a try, so all is not lost.
But it's looking pretty sh*t tonight.
Exactly the same as me.
Last year I watched and listen to every torturous loss until I was numb. After that I still watched and listened but I had stopped caring every time we'd capitulate and make a total embarrassment out of ourselves. It was like going through the motions and each rare win was a unexpected surprise.
I've got expectations now, hope that they're talented and capable of beating most sides. Losing to the Sharks hurts. I'm not sure if I want to cry or bash my head against the wall. The anger and grief is swirling around in the very pit of my stomach and I don't want to think about the game, but I can hardly stop.
I could make peace with the loss to the dragons becasue we matched them well and yet we were well below our capabilities. However I can't reconcile a loss to the sharks, not at this stage, not when we've got everything to play for, not when we clearly should have won. The embarrassment, disappointment and genuine anger is all stewing inside of me.
The players would feel twice as bad as I do. I really hope they don't lose confidence, but I can't see how it will be avoided. A debilitating loss in every sense.
Last year, we were down in the shit. Worse than Cronulla for Freddy's sake.
This year we're up there with the best.
Considering that around about this time last year I was hoping for a win to avoid the bloody wooden spoon I'm not throwing away my lollies over a couple of bad games.
When the Roosters turn up against the Titans, we'll get back on track.
. The game against Drag Queens took its toll and after a month of hard games
2. Short turn around from Sunday's clash to Friday night
3. Sharks seem to be our hoodoo side
All is not lost for mine. Regroup and get ready for the next game.
Well remember guys, after we lost two straight to the Cowboys and Knights, we had the bye then ripped the Tiitans. Hopefully the break refreshes us like last time and we can put a good performance against the Titans.

I don't want to be technical, but we were better than cronulla. I thought we beat them twice last year??
Fancy that, we beat the worst side in the competition when WE were the worst team in the competition, but we couldn't get them once when we're touted as possible grand finalists. If it wasn't so sad, it would be funny.
piss off mate. You got not idea. You take losses like this lightly, shows you have much of a clue you aint got.
Hey sunshine I am as passionate about the Roosters as anyone on here.
What I dont do is go to water when they loose.
We finished wooden spooners last year.
What we have now is a big improvement.
As I said before get over it.
As for the "Piss off mate" I aint going anywhere.
I have more knowledge in my shit than you have between the ears, boxhead.

Knowledge ay. I've been following this club for 45 years. Watch ya mouth pal. i'm upset. We got beat by cronulla. We had 6 chances to score. We played too lateral again. You reckon thats not a problem do ya? Cronulla mate? I haven't gone to water, I just reckon people are entitled to be a little upset.

45 years? You've followed the club that long, yet you can't see how after last season, after our expectations for this season, what the club has done this year is fantastic?
You can't see that the Cronulla loss may be the REAL wake-up call we needed? Everyone was still patting us on the heads after losing to St. Merge. We're a tired side with some players playing at well below 50%, let alone fully fit.
Pull your finger out, and give it 10 days. If it isn't better by then, start your whinging.
So ive had some time and some sleep to consider this recent speed hump of a loss and really its not all that bad, (ask me this last night and different story). Lets face it the NRL is such an even comp that losing to the scum, sorry sharks is not the worst result....on top of that we have been up for 9 games of tough footy, of those 9 we have won 6 and lost 3 and our highest losing margin of those games is 7 points....id prefer them to sort this shit out now rather then get to the finals like 2008 and lose in straight sets. we have the team we have the coach and the fans should have some belief, yes a disappointing night but our destiny is in the hands of the players, they have worked to get where they are and hopefully they can get back on track, everyone should get out there next monday night for a big home crowd.

Really good attitude and I tend to agree. Now that I slept on it doesn't seem so bad. I still can't get over the fact we lost to the sharks (fml, twice in a year! ), but I can accept that the team has a long way to go and recongnising our deficiencies now is better than being sprung in the finals.
We've got a nice long break to recuperate and hopefully some of the niggling injuries have time to heal. They need to refocus and come out strong on Monday night.
Just in general, I think I've come to accept the fact that the Roosters probably aren't capable of taking out the title (unless they make some vast improvements and changes). That doesn't seem so bad, becasue the team is so young and inexperienced. This year is a rebuilding one and as long as we are in the eight I think I can be satisfied that the year was a resounding success.
