I know we lost the game but I think we will get alot out of this loss. We are still a very young side and loosing Maubs before the game and Linnett early on certanly did not help. If we come up against them again I think we will play with a lot more patience in attack and not make mistakes in crucial stages of the game.

What made my day was watching the 75 side coming on stage and seeing Peardy fight to get on stage with his teamates, which typified the true Rooster spirit. There was no way he was not going to be with his teammates and when finnally got on stage you could how happy he was. This guy is a legend and a true Rooster and we are so lucky to have such a rich history that we can embrace. I would like to thank the club for putting on such a great day.

    Easts to WIN.

That was the highlight of the day.

It was great when he walked from the members to the podium before the presentation, and he did a little jig in front of the Chook Pen, complete with twirling his walking stick and waving his tie at the crowd. It was great to see him get up on the stage.

I admit freely to getting quite a bit choked up when they focused on him on the podium.
