Chookpen seats weren't so crash hot either.

Take me back to the SFS.

Isn't it great to be back at the traditional home of league?

The novelty wore off after 10 minutes for me. I was hoping we could all just get up and play the game next door.

Another game taken away from our home gorund = Another loss

We are 7 - 3 on the road this season Andrew, so that one doesn't cut it.

I have ragged off on the SFS/Aussie Stadium (whatever it's called now), with things like it's the only ground where you can get wet from the rain while being inside, and how the wind chills you to the bone but after being something like 75 metres away from the action, seeing pretty much bugger all except when Todd Carney scored (and that was looking around a bloody post) and only knowing who won when I saw the scoreboard at about a 65 degree angle from me (I was in the Noble stand) I am now retracting my dislike of it.

I don't like the Swans and I don't cricket (and I don't love it either) so I think that's the last time I'll ever be in the SCG.

Pretty much agree with what's been said above.
I spent more time watching the screen than the actual field.

It had been so long, that I'd forgotten about all those things I used to hate about watching a game at the SCG.
Worst was trying to see around all the players, officials, etc who all sit down on the ground near the sideline. I really only watched the game when they were down the Randwick end of the ground, rest of the time I was watching the screen !

Oh, and gee I hate the automatic raising seats. Everytime I stood up during the game, I almost always fell of my a*se whenever I went to sit straight back down

Hear hear. It's a great ground and it was great to be back at a ground with such tradition.

Terrible view, but great sense of history and occasion.

And I can't wait to go back there for the Ashes

The view from the Noble Stand was great watching Sowards shot at goal from almost in front smack straight into the upright

That was my first time watching league at the SCG and it was pretty awful. Way too far away from the action although the crowd and occasion made for a good atmosphere.

I'm a Swans supporter so I've been to the SCG for AFL games and it's wonderful; very intimate and a good view from all around the ground. I suppose that's why it was somewhat surprising that the ground was horrible for league. It wasn't just becasue of the distance from the action, but the fact that a good view was so hard to come by. I'm glad I got there nice and early so I could find a good place to sit.

Still enjoyed the day though. Bumper ground, enjoyed the presentation of the 75 premiership team and despite the loss, it was an absorbing and at times exciting game.
