I can't believe there hasn't been more said about how average Myles was yesterday. He didn't run or tackle with his usual vigour and came up with 6 missed tackles which is very un-Myles like.

I have to agree with this Headless one. A couple of times people ran through him yesterday. I haven't seen that from Myles all year.

Myles and Ryles were woeful, worst games of there season. I havnt seen the replay on tv yet, but watching live, our forewards have the slowest play the balls ive seen in the whole comp.

Our line speed was woeful compared but shit they got away with plenty inside the ten as well as marginal passes.

The two instances that stood out for me were when we kicked off and (1) Weyman ran straight through us and (2) Costigan ran straight through us. Fortunately Costigan has a brain the size of a pea and got up to play the ball instead of taking off again.

That highlighted how buggered our forwards were - especially the props. Off a kick off is when you want to line up the opposition and smash them, but we couldn't even put them down.

Its funny, Ryles out for being an idiot on the field. But they sign Weyman who the season before he went to the dragons got suspended for 7 weeks for punching Conn in the face just after playing the ball!! Yes he is a great prop. but does just as many stupid things as Ryles was doing!!

Average is being kind to myles, I thought he was poor against the merge scum.
Crucially, creagh's try was scored through myles and friend which was something I wouldn't have expected to see but I guess both were stuffed having made 42 and 46 tackles respectively.

Ryles' ill discipline is a myth.

I've got some stats lying around somewhere that show that gets penalised no more than any other starting prop.

A Sharks supporter calling Ryles undisciplined. What a joke.

He should look a little closer to home and write a few home truths about Paul Gallen, the most ill disciplined and dirty player in the NRL, whose actions have caused the Sharks to lose plenty of games over the years.

Ryles is an angel compared to that filthy grub.

So he made 42 tackles and thats not even average in your book ??? Give me a break. Myles put in big time, even though he is carrying an injury.

We lost because we had no ball control, and hence no field position.

                          We will learn from that.

Ryles had a brain snap, the big occasion and playing against his old team got to him, hopefully it wont happen again when we play them in the GF.

I stand by my earlier comment in saying he was poor even though he made 42 tackles but I'm basing that comment on the standard that Myles has set in previous games. Against the merge scum he missed 6 tackles (the most he has missed all year) and one of those was particularly crucial. He also only made 10 runs which is the third lowest amount all year. So, yes, poor by his standards but I'm sure he is playing injured so that performance was understandable.

He's a nightmare playing the ball, gives far too many penalties away in the ruck, either roughing up the player, like he did in this SCG game...or touching the ball under the player's chest...or stuffing up playing it himself.
And he drops the ball far too often as well.
