SKD was just unlucky. The pass was on, back to Friend unmarked on the inside who scores under the posts if it sticks. A desperate hand from dragons defence is all that saved them. Just unlucky. Great speed and strength by SKD to get into the clear in the first place.

I have bagged him mercilessly in the past.

Now I am a fan.

Everyone deserved to start with a clean slate under good coaching and SKD has become an integral part of the side. His defence has improved greatly over the season and he is one of the best runners going around.

He will get better as well.

I almost fell off my chair when Rabbits said he was considered the second best centre in the game behind Inglis but it was good to see him get some recognition.

I am glad the club stuck with him when certain experts on here (incl yours truly) would have sacked him two years ago.

I don't understand how everyone thinks friend would have scored the match running try when that skd pass didn't find him.

He was about on the halfway line and I don't think there was any chance that he would have outrun the dragons chasers with 50 metres to still run.

Maybe we would have scored after a few more tackles but there's no chance he would have raced 50 metres to score on his own if that pass had gone to hand

I just can't help smiling since the weekend. Sure the Roosters didn't win and they stuffed up, but I just can't help be happy.

There is something about the Roosters lately, that would indicate that they are becoming more solid as a team.
The defence is improving certainly, and thier attack is impressive as well.
I dont expect them to go all the way this year, however I will not be surprised if they did.
I think Smithy has done a great job with The Roosters.
