  • Anthony Tupwho?

It's easy to forget the good ones that got away when a better one comes along.

    FNP's stats:
    http://www.nrl.com/telstrapremiershi...a/default.aspx

    Anthony Tupou's stats:
    http://www.nrl.com/telstrapremiershi...u/default.aspx

Frankie is killing him in every stat bar offloads where Toops has one more.

Screw Macca's Angry Angus, I'm lovin the Rooster's Angry Frankie, that little jab he gave Poore was a "go on".

I hope he snaps Ben "The Wollongong Fairy" Creagh in half.

    Chook.

Was thinking about this the other day, when Toops left everyone named possible replacements... can't remember anyone ever throwing Franks name up there.

    He's come from no where.

Looking back, allowing Cronulla to sign Tupou was a shrewd piece of business.

I never had a doubt it was a good decision. Of course if I knew that Cherro would spend more time in RPH than the SFS I may have been less cocksure.

Our backrow stocks are excellent at the moment.
It's scientifically impossible for Easts to be in Souths' shadow when there's daylight between them and us.

I suspect Cherro could be the greatest myth since Khunt.
I hope thats not the case

Add others like shack and plum.

I remember some on here were almost crying when they left. I'm sure no one is missing them now.

He's a top talent mate, just needs a bit of luck with injury. He was set to florish this year under smith. Look out for him next year.

Couldn't agree more. This bloke is a rep player down the track. I have absolutely no doubt. (Provided he stays healthy).

yeah it was probably a bit unfair on Cherrington to compare him to khunt, propbably complete opposites, khunt got everywhere with no talent (juts hype) and Cherrington has talent but might get anywhere

I do worry about his attitude from what I hear, but a few ohers have had their attitudes changed in 12 months

Tupes is, was, and will always be an awesome bench impact player, and will never be anywhere near as effective playing lots of game time. Even when he was with us he was quite average when asked to play lots of game time.

Toops can be the human example on how Ricky Stuart cannot develop young players !

Since toops debuted, he has had more than enough opportunities to really make his mark on the game. unfortunatly, i don;t think his Coach has given him that guidance to take that next step.

yes the onus is on the person to take the next step, but as we see with Brian Smith, some need the direction/guidance to be shown the right path.

You think? That was so long ago and then came those heady days leading to our wooden pce of kitchen utensil.
Toupous decision to leave was not welcome by any of us. I'm sure all of us would have wanted him to stay.
Years later, well we have moved on and he is still floundering near the bottom. Shrewd piece of business? I think it's just Darwins Natural selection theory.

Too true, Tupou's best season without a doubt would be 08 under Freddy where he actually had a role. His ball playing was still a masive part of his game but was an after thought to his hole running.

Under Sticky he's just a lost sole again, throwing stupid passes trying to run over the top of players... no player can play well in a team with no structure and no roles.

In 08 Fittler had no idea, its just everyone else didn't know he had no idea.

A lot of people were happy that Toupou went after then because alot of people suspected he only put in because he was coming up for contract renewal.

Some it was to do with the way Stuart had him playing a game that was not his natural game as well.
