You see more in both Ferguson and Watts than I do fitzy and I'm not pleased that you may be right about JAubs not being retained.

Ferguson has great raw athletic potential. He is big, strong, very quick and he is only 20 years old. Watts is easily better than Jaubs who has been a major disappointment for us. I will say that Jaubs has struggled with injury but his service and running game are not up to scratch.

Well it would seem Phil and Mini will be on the way out so until then perhaps Carney and Ferguson will be seen as cover with a long-term aim of replacing these aging players. IMO id stick Justin Carney out on the wing over Phil anyway.

We don't have much depth in our backs. Guys like Maubs and Leilua can fill in there but they are better in the forwards. Ferguson is a promising wing/centre and he will do well on the end of our back line, if we sign him. Graham was only a short term signing so signings like J. Carney and Ferguson are good for the future.

I'm very happy with Watts. I think he is one of the best impact hookers in the game. Jaubs won't be retained so Watts is great cover for Friend.

Who says Leilua is better in the backs? I think he showed in the Dogs game that he goes very well in the centres.

im not sure that ferguson is a smart recruitment - he was one of higher paid players at the sharks so if he is to earn similar figures with us, i am against the signing. i think like SKD he has stacks and stacks of potential - is big, strong and athletic and does have plenty of pace. if he was to be signed then i cant see how graham is to be retained so imo, graham would be released and replaced with ferguson. although ferguson is a good player i would prefer us to keep graham and have a backline of:
1. Miniciello
2. Graham
3. Linnett
4. SKD
5. Perrett
6. Carney
7. Pearce

With the likes of Towers, Carney, Naughton, Moeakiola and Kherillah as depth.

Very interesting if you look at it this way..........

Dugan resigned with the Faiders about a month ago for an additional 1 yr only, making him available to sign in 2013.

Mini looks like resigning a 2 yr deal (1yr option) meaning his last year with us will be 2012.

There's a good chance Dugan wears the #1 RW&B jersey in 2013

Seriously the club would have to be mad to try and negotiate with him in future..

People on here talk about not picking up injury prone players, but they all want to sign Dugan. He comes away from every contest in pain with something new wrong with his body. In a couple of years he will be plagued with injury!!
