Rothfield, just as with most 'experts', are giving their opinions which they are entitled to do and is what they get paid to do. Let's just forget about what these 'experts' tip each week because who honestly cares! The Roosters continue to smashem on the field and lets just enjoy this run home.

You took a shot at a previous poster’s credability (sic… would have thought a journalist’s should involve being able to spell), yet you consistently twist truths about Smith. He rated Walsh. But he had been injury prone, and Smith had also decided that in the long run he wanted to switch Mullo to half and have a bigger 6 and 7 combo that were both strong runners and wouldn’t be such targets in defence. Every coach has to make strategic decisions about a roster.

And your constant claim that he didn’t rate Hayne is ridiculous. Sure Taylor bit the bullet and promoted a boom kid the week after Smith left. Big deal. It was going to happen soon anyway. Smith knew how good he was. He was personally responsible for Hayne being fast-tracked from the juniors to reserves. He was conservative about immediately promoting a not especially mature (mentally) 17-year-old with a handful of grade games under his belt. It’s not like he wasn’t expecting great things from him. Anyone who was on the Eel’s coaching staff at the time will tell you this.

Yeah I noticed that comment as well.

It was a thought out post which was 100% on the money.

Rothfield had nothing to argue it with so he took the easy option.

There's no point in posting on the blog unless it is in line with his views because he either won't publish it or will give you a really short answer.

All season i wasnt very confident that we could give the com a good shake, but the last month i am very confident that the way we have been playing,and the way the rest have been playing, we are the form team and the team to beat.. If we can stay injury free and continue this form then idont see why we cant..
