  • Ryles deserves some praise

Yep , we all thought the Purchase / Use of Ryles at the beginning of the season was, to say the least a questionable decision, I can remember peole saying that is was dogs body etc and I must admit I had my doubts at the time but has this man stood up and proved us all wrong.

he has become a reliable team back bone player and I think he is one of the reasons for our soild forward attack. I like him and I think hes doing a great job ..

    Onya Rilsey ......
    The REAL! Spanner, never forgotten.

He's been a great leader for a young forward pack, too.

Let's hope he can keep it up.

He deserves a mountain of praise.

I always thought he'd be a great buy and so far he has delivered.

Finally our purchases are coming off and we aren't talent killers anymore.

Yeah I must admit I didn't think Ryles was a great purchase i always thought he looked like Tarzan and played like Jane when he played for the DragQueens.

The only thing that he could change in his game is keeping his hand out of the play the ball area during a tackle...... specially with the refs looking at penalising us for anything they can find.

Other than that keep up the goog work Ryles.

            Dam rite he does!
Putting in a 100% effort every single week, makes the tackles and he still runs hard.
When I heard we were going to sign him last year I knew it would have been good for our young guys coming through.

Also heard all the negativity about him being lazy, giving 3 penalty's every game and Injury prone.

Not one has come up this year in the comp.

Keep it up ryles your doing great!

Would be great if he was holding up the Premiership trophy at the Grand Final while his ex-Dragon team mates were spread across the field in tears after choking in another Grand Final!!!

I always rated him as one of the better props in the game. I was very happy with the signing.

Started the season injured but kudos to him for his commitment and also to Smithy for getting the best out of him.

He has always copped criticism from inept Dragons supporters who didn't know any better.

His workrate and impact was always classy.

The ill-discipline was a myth. Find me a hard working prop who doesn't give away a few penalties.

As much as i'm excited over our attack with Carney, i think having Ryles on and off the field was just as important to the club.

My only criticism is that he has that annoying habit of playing the ball with his left leg. No matter what the situation. If he carries it in his right, he changes the ball to his left and plays it. Slows the play of the ball down.

I was super happy from the day that I found out we had signed him, and had a few heated discussions with a few on the other site who were slagging him off big time.

Ryles has always been a top quality prop, but sometimes his discipline let him down, however he is now older and wiser.

Other than the infamous "Heat Stroke" game , Ryles has proven to be a colossus for us this year, and it is no surprise that the young forwards are flourishing under his leadership (because he leads by example).

We finally have a metre eater who constantly bends the line and makes 100+ metres each game.

You're a legend Rylesy, keep up the good work
