This kid is the ultimate Enigma, Ive been involved in footy in one way or another for 45 years or so and I have NEVER !!!! seen such a conflict of great and terrible in any player.

Hes either ****ing hopeless or hes brilliant, I dont know how you would coach him, he gets my blood going every time the play goes his way in either defence or attack.

I hold my hand over my eyes and Im almost afraid to look. I just take a little peak and I either keep my hand over my eyes or my eyes pop outa my head , talk about heart in your mouth footy

Walshie don't let the truth get in the way of a good story, he made one error and one crap pass but my point was he isn't making the amount of error of previous seasons

Had teh makings of a perfect Greek Tragedy.

I didnt expect Mini to throw that cutout and hit the spot, and I didnt expect Skid to catch it and score. 6 weeks ago Mini would have dummied and lost the ball in the tackle or thrown it into Bay 123 ala Finch, and Skid would have dropped it with the line wide open.

              One at a time!!
              Go Easts.

One knock on didn't matter, because it was no advantage to us. The second knock on was Carney's fault, threw a bullet pass at his head from short range. Noone would have caught that!

Apart from that, 4 tries and some brilliant tackles!

Truly he's a riddle but i think he has the best footwork amongst big centres in the game today, even more than Inglis (who brings better power running).
It's scientifically impossible for Easts to be in Souths' shadow when there's daylight between them and us.
                  Easts to win

I still think he is a dope of the highest order and my suspicions of his lack of ability were confirmed by Smith in the press-conference yesterday when he acknowledged that he is still learning football.

                    Only took 5 farken years.

I still think he is a dodgy player and will cost us plenty of games in the future though.

Then you never saw Terry Fahey play for us in the early 80's.

He will win us plenty too though! He has a step off both feet and is quicker than I thought he was. He's still only 22, he's not going to peak for another 4 or 5 years, I think he's one of our most improved and will only get better. If he stays with us, he will become the third Rooster to crack the 100 try barrier (assuming Mini gets there and not counting Freddie).

There have been plenty of enigmatic players whose performances were inconsistent based on how much effort they put in (Olsen Filipina was probably the most enigmatic I can remember in this regard).

What makes SKD unique is that he seems to try his hardest all the time - but his highs and lows are still higher and lower than any player by far.

It seems to be a constant battle between the stupidity of his brain and the brilliance of his natural athletic ability. Happily, the latter seems to be winning the battle!

The question is - what will he do in The Big Game?

That's a Great question you have raised Fleabag......
What will SKD to when it come to the big matches " Semis Finals" ,will he cost us a game and go back to his bumbling ways of old or wil he pullout the matchwinner like last night against the Donkeys..
I hope this is a sign that he has shaken Rocks out of his system and can only get better.

Well done skd! you had a blinder last night.

Even tho you dropped some ball every game it seems to me you make up for it else where.

The way SKd can bust tackles is brilliant.

I hope his always a rooster!
