I know everyone (including me) was in awe of the Carney and SKD briliance lastnight. But, I would just like to acknowledge the effort from our big guys, particulary - Frank Paul Nauuausala. I thought he had a craking game, launched himself at them all day and even made break and set up a try. Schweeeet!!!

Not to mention Friend. Made 42 tackles (next nearest was 24), played the full 80 and was everywhere! His service from dummy half was never questioned either. Even in the 74th minute when Linnett made the break down the field, Friend was there to scoop up the quick play the ball and offload to Carney. I think FPN is a perfect illustration of the old adage that forwards take longer to mature into first graders. Linnett & BJ have looked comfortable from day 1, but I'm sure FPN has had some serious doubts in his own mind about whether he was truly a first grader. To make it even harder on him, he had to try and lead from the front last season in a team going nowhere. Now, with Ryles and Myles showing the way, he's settled into a Tupou type role, rather than the yardage man that Freddie tried to turn him into.Originally posted by melon.... View Post
