  • Brian Smith's Press Conference

geez I hope he doesn't hold back purely because we eventually won the game, he has every right to go in both barrels blazing after that disgraceful performance by the officials today, the forward passes were bad enough but that Anasta no try was purely disgraceful, it is about time the video refs are held accountable.

Why would the video refs be held accountable??? The on field wankers aren't..

at least Finch is going to get the arse at the end of the season the final straw for the NRL was when the coaches came out and said there was no point discussing anything with him because nothing changed.

was 50/50 but either way it is rediculous how the rules say that is no try

But braith's arm was always in contact with the ball as it hit Kimmorley. No one is disputing it touched Kimmorley, but Braith never lost control of the ball (until after it hit kimmorley, but then he got it back). That was a benefit of the doubt try if I've ever seen one... They always go against us!

I listened to the game on ABC grandstand. All the commentators were quite scathing of the match officials, even hinting it may have been a deliberate attempt to ensure the Roosters didn't win. Robert Finch has to be sacked now! Tonight!

                  Surely you are kidding right..

If that was not a try then every strip is a knockon because every strip has two players touching it simultaneously.

Even the LU article writer agrees
Immediately after halftime the Roosters were called back for a pass that clearly hadn't gone forward, and the Bulldogs strolled over to increase their lead to 12 points.

Not long after that, the Roosters took the match by the scruff of the neck, totally dominating territory and possession.

It looked as though the Roosters had pulled the score back through Braith Anasta, only for it to be disallowed by the video referee in a decision that was flat out wrong.

ABC...Warren Ryan is part of them ain't he? IIRC he's not too fond of how he was treated at Belmore so he'd have some bias.

Braith controlled the ball using Kimmorley's head. I think that was one of the few they got right... Having said that I'm sure it would have been given eight times out of ten.

The press conference was quite short.

I think everyone present recognised that there was some "indifferent" refereeing.

There was more focus on Lang's comments than the refereeing today.

Perhaps Steve Noyce didn't want the club to loose any more money.

But pointing out the the useless ****s, as I called them at the end of the game, and their incompetence would be pointless.
