Bwian Smith will not move Carney to 5/8th,despite calls from everywhere to do so!
He has proven in the past that he is a very stubborn man and once he makes up his mind nothing will change that.
So sadly,we're stuck with watching a potentially great 5/8th play at fullback,in turn making way for the games most horrible 5/8th in Anasta

Lydon is right, smith is one of the most stubborn coaches in the comp. I doubt he'll make the necessary change that everyone else can see is so badly needed. It would also cause big fat braith to have another cry the big baby

If we field anywhere near this side, we'll go good for the rest of the season IMO.

              1. Luke Towers
              2. Anthony Minichiello
              3. Phil Graham
              4. Shaun Kenny-Dowall
              5. Sam Perrett
              6. Todd Carney
              7. Mitchell Pearce
              8. Jason Ryles
              9. Jake Friend
              10. Daniel Conn
              11. Nate Myles
              12. Mitch Aubusson
              13. Braith Anasta (c)

              14. Jared Wearea-Hargreaves
              15. Frank Paul-Nuuausala
              16. Tom Symonds
              17. Sam Brunton

That is the way the team should look IMO. The bench would provide plenty of impact and spark. I think it's time Luke Towers is given a chance. He couldn't do anymore to boost his chances in recent weeks.

Will positional changes rectify the poor attitude?

                Nah. Didn't think so.

The Pearce/Carney combo carved up and looked very dangerous during the trials.I know they are 'only' trials but that makes no difference to how ****ing awesome they looked at 6 and 7 respectively!
It needs to be done IMMEDIATELY!!

I was under the impression Carney played fullback during the trials.

                      He did.
Its the times when the side was re-shuffled i was referring to.When he was defending in the line and playing the role of 6!

Carney's individual try last night convinced me he MUST play #6.
From about 10m out, he got the ball a couple off the ruck, sped off, stepped off both feet and planted the ball with defenders hanging off him.

Now ask yourself this......When was the last time you saw snail-paced Anasta do something of a similar nature??? Today, i saw the likes of Campese, Lockyer, even Birdbrain CREATE OPPORTUNITIES.

For the sake of your inconsistent team Brian , swallow your pride & play Anasta at lock.

                          lol@ Conn starting.

I say bring in the kids, that's how other clubs are moving forward, by bringing through the youth instead of playing the same imposters every week.
