Probably because we never had a hope. Hopefully because we can use the money he would want to target a better player ie. Inglis.
Only as a backup option. If the NRL allow him to go to the chokers on a minimum salary then they are a bigger joke than the Storm. I've said it for years, the NRL are desperate for the Dragons to win a comp.

Because we were behind the Dragons and they were going to get him. $1.6M for 3 and a half years.. Taking into account he will be injured for a third of the time and its a lot of money.
