A story in rugby league week today in regards to the Roosters looking at signing Fitzy for 2011. Why the hell did they let him go in the first place, they could really use his experience now.

Also does anyone know where Stanley and Sisa Waqa ended up?

Could it be like the gasnier situation?

We could not pay what he was worth, so send him to the Uk, earn big dosh, comes back and plays with us again for less.

Because we have the dumbest mob of shortsighted, quickfix morons running the club.

What a joke, what an absolute joke IF this story is true. And IF this is true, it shows just how dumb Roosters policies in regards to recruitment remains.
Fitzy coming back in 2011 - gee, I don't know about that.

Bring him back for one game to send him off with a win.

... But that should be the extent of it.

                  Bring him back for Paea.

                  Ryles
                  Friend
                  Myles
                  Symonds
                  Aubusson
                  Fitzgibbon

                  Jones
                  Cherrington/Guerra/Leilua
                  Hargreaves
                  Nuuausala

That looks SO much better. Two hard-working props with high workrates in yards and tackles, two dangerous wide-running backrowers with pace to burn and great defensive technique, a legend at lock, and a high impact bench including two NZ internationals, a utility who played his BEST at hooker, and a linebreaker line Cherro, Guerra or Leilua.

Throw in Conn at 18th man, and you have a winning pack.

So you want to move our best player from the back row, to prop. All to make way for a player who is at the end of his career.

Are we trying to move forward, and build something. If we sign someone, sign someone that can help build the team.

I really don't get people line of thinking with this.

As much as I love Fitzy, I would rather get a top shelf prop and keep Myles at lock. Myles is a lot lighter than last year, and think we need more muscle up front - especially with the relatively lightweight backrow you have listed.

                        I would rather see:

                        Ryles
                        Friend
                        James Graham
                        Symonds
                        Aubusson
                        Myles

                        Utility (?)
                        Cherrington/Guerra/Leilua
                        Hargreaves
                        Nuuausala

I would have loved Fitzy to hang around for this year. If rotated right, he would have added some much needed experience and depth. But not next year. I'd hate to see him taper off and end up playing for Newtown at some point. But if they are looking at having him as part of the coaching staff then that would be a very good move.

This club doesnt punt past greats to Newtown. They let them hang around on the wing, and at 6, and let the team slide as a consequence.

First of all... how often are RLW right? Close to never.

Hypothetically speaking as much as I'd love to see him receive the farewell that he does deserve it's time to move on, players like Cordner, Leilua, Symonds, Cherrington, Baitieri, Guerra etc etc.. are the future.
