  • Same Team for the Knights what a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!

After our woeful display on Monday night how could he not change this team.Never ever thought I would say this but Mini at fullback is a joke put him back to wing or dump him to reserve grade,he is way past it and no longer provides anything at fullback can't tackle or pass anymore.Sean Kenny Dumb still in the team another joke back to his old habits and will never improve in my opinion.
As for Anasta at 5/8 don't get me started he lacks no running game or game breaking ability there and his kicking game is non existant we have seen this for the past 3 years now it's time to go Anasta or move to the forwards!!!!!
Blood some youth and enthusiam and pressure the more experienced guys Smithy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make some Tough decisions and grow some balls and show these players we mean business and reputations mean squat...........
Trial Towers at fullback as well as one of the young centres and wingers,Anasta provides nothing in attack and Mini seems to be on old legs.
How many more losses and shithouse performances will it take for Smithy to realise this???????????????????????????????

Mate given that we played Monday I assume Smithy just named the same team for Tuesday. I think we may still see some changes

Seems to me that a lot of the posts are copy and pasted from others.

Let me ask this...with the calling for the young bloods to be introduced, let's just say that Smith "grows some balls" and does what some are crying out for. How long would you accept to be losing games because he got rid of some of the older players so these young guns can have a go? Would you be happy with 4, 5, 6 losses before you cried out for some more changes?

Mini had a shocker on Monday and while he may never return to his best, he can play a LOT better than that.

SKD has had some good games so there is potential there for him to play better.

Anasta gives his all week in week out and whilst his kicking game is not to be envied I think he needs to be in the team.

A lot of people here have all the answers but Smith has a job to put out the very best team he can. He does that each week.

Look at Ryles, people were up in arms that we signed him. Misses too many tackles, give away too many penalties, blah, blah , blah. Seems that he is doing alright to me so there is hope for all the other crap players in our team.

I wonder why the hell some even bother to follow the game if it causes so much stress. We are currently on the same points by at the end of round 9 this year than we were at round 26 last year, and we still have 2 byes up our sleeve....

Go the chooks at Gosford. I will be cheering you on boys.

For a start I did not copy and paste anything from here so get that right.I only re-iterate what every other frustrated Rooster fans have been saying and witnessing for the past few weeks here.
Even a blind man can see that Mini is past it and always will be,and no longer useful at fullback so he must give someone younger guy such as Towers a go to see if he has what it takes move Mini back to the wing.
As for Anasta I said we either move him to the forwards or drop or rest him till he gets fully fit, give young Foran a go at half and move Carney to 5/8.
At least see what the young guys can offer to pressure the old experienced guys to give them a wakeup call!!!!!!!!!
As for SKD it's the same ol shit from this guy hasn't learnt anything always will be a liability, how many more years and chances do we give him to learn how to tackle and pass, shaft him get in a real winger or centre!!!

If you read my post, I did not accuse you of copying and posting per se. It is the same old, same old is what I was getting at.

You did not answer the question I asked (which is pretty much the main content of my post)....How many losses would you be happy with by Smith getting tough and dropping the players with the so called reputations? Name the amount of games.

How many games do you give Towers to see if he has what it takes?

Ok well thats what you should have stated then other than what you posted.
As for how many games should we give them, for a start these young guys can bring more enthusiasm if they are showing some form in the lower grades then reward them and give them a crack in 1st grade.
Pressue the old heads until they show the form that is expected of them,as many games as it takes in my opinion at least they get experience under their belt they can only improve from their.
Look the players we let go such as Soward and Hannant and Rose Shillo etc, they were given their chances and have matured and excelled at other clubs cause we did not have the time and patience to nurture them or provide them enough 1st grade experience now we are paying for it.

By this logic, no one brings more enthusiasm then Anasta. Pearce aside.

Therefore keep Anasta in as he grabs more experience under his belt and can only improve from there.

what you mean by he grabs more experience? hes had 10 years experience under his belt in the nrl. You cant get more experience than that. He will not improve, we all have been waiting 5 years for this dud to deliver something but he fails every time. He is only good for doing dropouts and for dating hot girls.

So tell me from the young players we have now, who should we hold on to until they mature? In other words, which players might we let go that will mature and go well when they join another club?

Pierce does not count as he is excelling in the role at such a young age. Hindsight is a wonderful thing to have.

With the current crop of youngsters I haven't seen enough of the lower grades to suggest anyone.I am only going off what other supporters who have seen them run round say and suggest.
Going from what's read and said guys like Linnet and Towers should be given a go and if they fail to deliver at least they will have an excuse not like these over paid experience crap we have now such as Anasta,Mini SKD.
Take Tom Symonds and Pearce as an example, they were given a shot and proved the future of this club, until injury has struck Symonds down,my point is we will not know until they are thrown into 1st grade and now is the time to trial them before the back end of the season when it's too late and it's more of a risk to do so..

Well said John, I agree 100%.

I also believe people arent taking into account the shithouse coaching most of our team has had to put up with for the last 5yrs. Some have never been coached properly IMO.

We will slip back to our bad old ways occasionally, thats natural considering its become second nature to many of them.

It will take till mid-next year at least till Smiff instills some real consistency in the club IMO.

Blooding 4-5 youngsters at one time is called panicking.

Blooding players like Linnet is called rewarding and dropping players who aren't performing is a natural deterrant to complacency. Remember what happened last time SKD got dropped(should of got dropped for longer)? He came out an had a blinder his next game.

ill have a rib eye and a big scotch fillet thanks.

Cmon backwards, this club and team have been damaged goods for 3 years, i am always prepared to give blokes a go( not jnr jnr ) but it is time, this season is not finished with but a couple more efforts like that and bonvoyage and we will take ten steps back.

It isnt just about changes, it is forgetting past reps and getting blokes in the right spots.

Look at perrett a runaway winner for last years player of the year, at fullback, he runs the ball hard, break tackles and is very solid.

On the wing he is bloody useless, either move him back to the fullback or drop him, they are the only options. Towers is the only logical replacement.

Mini just has to go, he is so much off the pace it isnt funny, maybe horrie is god can assist in some way.

SKiD, great bloke, too busy banging his yr12 sweetheart, i have stuck by skd, but can do so no longer.

Graham is scared to run into space, so scared he looks for a defender to run into, he came with this speedster rap, maybe he left his legs in canberra.

Anasta is busted big time, between trying to get fit on one leg and keeping with with his hypo missus he has his hands full, he has to be lock, no 2 ways about it.

I know frank pauls stats look great, but gee he can **** up, always looks tired, lopini has just lost the plot, he needs to go.

I am over mediocrity, reputation and second chances.

We can salvage this season, bring in some youth and enthusiasm, with no mental baggage from past seasons.

Mate you know I agree with all that, ive been saying Bwaiff wont win us a comp for years now.

I also agree with blooding youngsters, not 4 at a time though. I just dont know if the youngsters we have are ready yet, or will be better than who they replace.

Last year we lacked any expierence on the field, and it showed by our results. JWH and Symonds have only played a handfull of FG each. Friend not much more, Jaubs the same. Carnage just back from 18mths off. Bwaiff obviously showing effects from injury. Pearce out. I guess Bwian doesnt want to risk what happened last season.

I still maintain it will take till mid-next year at LEAST before we see any major improvements. Bwian will have to cut some serious dead wood also IMO. Till then we will be hot and cold.

Look if we were close to 100% fit, and each week were offering the shit we did against the Cowplods sure drop everyone. But I dont believe Bwian will make massive changes yet, it would reek of panic.

These blokes need to be given the chance to work with the new coach and show they CAN improve. I believe theyve shown alot of improvement from last season, but sure theres a long way to go.

I didnt enter the season expecting miracles, unlike last year. I didnt make bold predictions or worry about semis. I consdered the limitations we have and the inevitable roadbloks like injuries etc we would face. I wanted them to show some improvement and show they can compete. Im more than happy with where we are so far.

I still spewed hard after Mon night, kicked the cats etc. Unlike last year I face this weekend knowing that was last week, we wont do that this week, well hopefully. Last year I knew what was next, a weekly royal shafting.

How bout a rack of dry aged rib eye??? Beautifully seasoned my mwa, gently cooked on the elwebber. Start with some lamb kofta???

Totally agree with PWN it's basically what I and everyone else is saying.
Reward the young guys that show good form and sack the experienced guys for complacency.
It's the only way they will wake up to themselves bring them back to reality, that past reputations mean squat.
