as disapointing as tonight was, it is now in the past we can't change it, and it is time to move on and look towards next week, Brian Smith has a reputation for making the hard decisions and not only dropping big name players but removing them from the club all together it will be very interesting if he has the guts to make the hard calls at selection time this week.
I can't see the following players being dropped unless injury rules them out:
Mini (unfortunately past his used by date but unlikely to be dropped)
Perrett
Graham
Anasta (grossly out of form but won't be dropped)
Carney
Myles (looks to have picked up a serious injury could be missing for a while)
Maubs
FPN
Jaubs
Friend
JWH
Ryles
Koups (a Smith favourite hence won't be dropped)
the following players are the one's that could be forced out if Smith decides to shake things up a bit
Paea (had a very ordinary year if Kennedy is fit he should be given a go)
Conn (gone off the boil recently, always seems to be injured)
SKD (just too unpredictable, his mistakes are outweighing any benefits)
Jones (certainly wasn't the worst tonight but just doesn't seem to fit into the team dynamic)
Possible players to force their way into first grade:
Kennedy (his display against the Broncos shows his potential needs to get on top of his constant injuries)
Symonds (a must to return when fit)
Linnett (worth giving a shot couldn't be any worse than SKD or Jones)
Williamson (a bit down on form at the moment but similar to Linnett worth giving a shot to see how he handles the step up)
Leilua (this kid is a major talent, would love to see him get a shot off the bench)
Lowe (this kid is a tackling machine and an edge runner with a bit of size, since we have lost Cherro for the season he might be worth having a look at, has been sighted training with the top squad so maybe not too far away)
Foran (was touted as one of the best pre-season trainers and has been going Ok for Newtown, was on standby for tonights match so obviously in the mix if Anasta's ankle prevents him from playing over coming weeks)
