Thats what has happened with Brett in Melbourne. In fact, same at the Roosters - his best form was when he played second fiddle to Fittler. Its when he's given the major playmaking gig that he struggles.

see above. Its got nothing to do with being "carried" - its about playing the role you are best suited to. His best year at Parra was 2007 when Tim Smith was firing. Again, when he is forced to wear too many hats, is when he struggles. there's no shame in that. In fact, it's the same with most players.
