If the club is serious about Friend's long term future, he shouldn't get anywhere near firsts for a long while. I'm pretty sure thats what has been said in the press by Noyce, etc.

To let him back into firsts would simply reiforce the idea that we can't do without him - ie that he is a legend in his own mind? Isn't that what caused the drinking probs - he thought he was untouchable?

In my opinion, the big headedness was not Jake's problem more the country boy lost in the big city situation. There are people that would know better than me, but thats what I think.

I agree that he shouldn't be rushed anywhere, but think what ever the task given him he will do

saw jake friend along with skd n cherro and greenwood last night. actually met that at the bar. i was relived to see that jake friend only proceeded to buy a red bull..

had a bit of a chat to him n skd, friend said that smithy wanted him to get a few more games in 20's under his belt, and get his match fitness up again before he is considered for first grade again... also cherro looked in good shape aswell, he didnt seem to be limping or anything, so there may be a possibilty of him returning before the year is out.

                also. skd is MASSIVE

dont be surprised to see Friend playing 1st grade on monday night, esp if any of our forwards get a knock in the rep games, koups to 2nd row, friend to hooker.

                    You have been told!!!!!!!!

no the furthest thing from it, he was letting people take pictures with him, shaking peoples hands and making conversation with fans. he conducted himself very well. must admit though friend was a little stuck up, not willing to talk etc etc, which i guess is fair enough in his predicament

Friend is hardly up himself, he is very very shy, SKiD is a champion bloke, his old man even better

Cherro thinks he is a gangsta

Are you referring to their size or demeanour?
