  • Serve me some humble pie plz

Before the start of this season, i was adamant that Graham was a winger and nothing else. I said he would get trampled by the opposing centres.

    Well, talk about being wrong.

This bloke might not weigh much, but he puts the sting into his tackles. He had Thaiday running and him all night as well as Glenn/Te'o (?) and he laid some solid contact on all of them. Some reads he made, in my opinion stopped some tries.

Add some blistering pace, and handy footwork and we got a pretty good buy.

Hope the injury isn't a major one.

Edit: In my opinion he came close to taking the MOM off Myles ( still can't believe that Carney got the honour).

Without Carney the score would have been abysmal so I can understand his getting the MOM but for sheer consistent effort and hard work I would have given it to Nate.

As for Graham, he was very good tonight.

Carney came up with some good finishes. I thought Myles and Graham were more instrumental in the result.

Graham was sensational tonight esp in defense and their outside backs could not handle him

I will have a piece also, but not for Phill.....

I never EVER wanted Todd Carney here and have been quite vocal on the subject, but damn he has been brilliant.......

Graham looks great. Dangerous in attack and solid in defence. I like his combination on the left side with mini.

I also thought SKD had a good game (and besides last week) looks good in the centres. He actually made a good read in defence tonight that stopped a Broncos try

PS: I didn't know the MOM til reading this thread but I picked Carney ahead of Myles, Graham and SKD. Carney injected himself beautifully tonight and was dangerous everytime he touched the ball - not just the finishing touches but also setting up some plays. Commendation also to Maubs who was awesome in defence and also ran into some holes.

Yeah i agree that Carney had a fantastic game however in a game like today Myles deadset ran himself into the ground. I noticed he was the only forward to run back and take a hit up when working our way out. Quality hit-ups as well. I just think he is the glue that is holding our pack together.

Without him, i just see the team falling apart.

Myles is starting to get that look of Fitzy and Hindmarsh. Making the plays that you just take for granted. I've been very impressed with his new role / attitude / performance this season.

Agree - when he isn't there, a lot of the other guys will need to step up to cover....

Phil's defence was outstanding. Most people are pretty aware of his attacking skill but the job he did on thaiday was top shelf

Graham and Conn have been the season's surprise packets. They make you feel more comfortable when they're on the field.

True that. Apparently, though, they were both injured last night and will likely miss some weeks.

Graham is shaping up to be a top quality buy for us. I was heartbroken when I saw Conn go off because he's also been fantastic for us.

As for Myles, when Anasta goes off to retirement, given Mini is the same vintage as Anasta, I think Myles should be made captain. This season he's finally come good for us and they should pay him whatever he wants to extend the contract.

I think Graham is that one player in our backline that we have missed in the last few seasons. He is a proper centre, unlike alot of the other players tested their (Jones, Sa, M Aubusson). He has that ability to take a half chance and turn it into something special. I'ts just a shame our forward pack has been demolished.
