I hope Tinirau Arona or Isaac Maliota get a taste of NRL football this week if Martin Kennedy is out. I've been impressed with both of them and we should use them now early in the season for experience as the situation with all these injuries seems to warrant it.

Bingo, we have a winner. This is exactly what my eels supporting friend told me about Smith and he cited Daniel Wagon as Exhibit Number 2 for his case of Smith's at times, baffling decisions. I am just going to have to get accustomed to Kouparitsas because you can be sure we'll be seeing a lot of him in the weeks/months to come.

Fantastic news. He's the only option we have as the utility bench spot.

I would hope linnett is seen as a better option as he has the form on the board at Newtown and killed it in under 20's last year. Jones is not a centre and would be more than handy of the bench. Tuigamala is injured atm I think.

Anyway if Ryles and Conn are available I'd leave out Moujalli and Takiarangi

Looks like Kouparitsas will now be used in the backrow with Jorbs playing 80 minutes which I think benefits the team.
Tuigamala played yesterday for Newtown scoring a try.

geez our young forwards can't take a trick at the moment with Takairangi now also injured with a pec strain, not that he really added much to the team but it is now getting to the stage any fit body will do.

Must have comeback early because he was not originally selected

Takarangi (sp?) is also out for a few weeks according to Smith

If Conn is out, would be interesting to see who is called up as our forward stock is severly depleted

Maybe Jason Baiteri might get a go

At least Kouparitsas has some sort of skills. Wagon had nothing. Zero.
