I think rain will suit the dogs more.

One bonus of having a relatively young and (now) fit side is they'll probably recover from the heat of last week better than most. And Smith would have given them a pretty light workload this week, it would have been all about recovery.

It's more likely the Dogs will fade in the heat as the game goes on than the Roosters. The Dogs are yet to play in the heat of the day - they've had a 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm match. Come the 60 minute mark, I reckon the Dogs will be struggling.

That's when the Roosters, who are becoming conditioned to playing in the heat, could run over the top of their opposition, if they haven't already.

If the Dogs are to win, they'll have to score plenty and score them early.

The level they play at, is much much higher, and the expectations are much higher.

Recovery is very important, think about it as about 5% of overall performance.

My mail is that Jason Ryles is in serious doubt for Sunday's game with an injury. Was not told what the injury was though.

I completely understand what your saying BigMike, and in no way am i saying i am better (or even remotely as good) as these blokes. The comp i play in has a lot of hard old buggers in it that still play old school rules!
All i'm saying is...if i can cop a few cracks to the head and an eye-gouge here and there, Then work a 40 something hour week, Why cant they recover from a hot day?...Especially when it's a 7 day turnaround!

I think he is trying to say that at the pace and collision these guys play at in the tough conditions like last Sunday, they have to be able to perform at that same level week in, week out which is actually a very hard thing to do after all the knocks that the body takes. That's just my take on it though.

I wasn't saying anything about playing or not playing, i was mentioning that it will affect their performance.

The Roosters will be a fraction jaded after two sunny Sunday games but they ought to now be used to the conditions compared to Canterbury, plus the hot weather suits the Roosters style of play.

I'd be happy to see it hot and sunny on Sunday so our small, quick forwards can give their fat blokes the run around, i.e. what happened in Round 1 against Taylor, Burgess et al. The Dogs looked seriously tired and slow last Friday against St George and that will be exaggerated in the heat this weekend.

I can see the headlines now, Roosters the real deal. Roosters bury the bone into Dogs, Roosters demolish Kennel, Dogs Boned, Dogs in the Doghouse, etc, etc

I see us winning by about 30 to 8., at least, we smashed the tigers and the form looks good since they smashed Parra last night, Kimmorleys origin career ends tomorrow.

listen if the tigers can come and win against the eels after last sunday, there is no reason we cant do it, we hav a 7-day turnaround. tigers had 5! being tired isnt going to cut it
