  • Daniel Conn.

I wasn't a big fan of his but I thought he was very strong yesterday. We definitely lifted when he came on. He ran hard, tackled well and popped some nice offloads in the lead up to a couple of our tries.

    He did well.

Played well yesterday and was solid for us against the vermin. Have been pleasantly suprised with him. Hopefully he can continue his form this weekend

Who does Smith drop when Symmonds and JWH come back from injury? both Che Guerra, and Conn have being playing very well.

Well Taikarangi would be the first to go obviously to make way for JWH. After that Symonds may have to rely on injuries as Guerra is there to stay and Conn may hold his position too.

This guy is a champion. Runs hard plays hard.

Never really got a solid chance at the titans, When i heard of his signing i knew it was a good buy. I remeber him from when weyman cracked himone in the head, his a tought boy!
            great buy!

I'd say Koups will go but Smithy seems to love this bloke. After that kick through yesterday, I would have pulled him straight off for the rest of the game. Only problem is who will be backup hooker. A good problem to have for Smithy.

Another one Smith is getting the best out of.

Reminds me a smaller version of the Yak.

                Chook.

Koups won't go. He will be backup hooker. I think Jaubs could play 80

yes, cut the interchange from 4 to 3

                    good move

if we can lose ourselves a game that'll teach them to bloody well kick properly

actually, Kouparitsas was very good yesterday

Koups wasn't the oly one who put in a grubber straight into the opposition, from memory Pearce did the same.

Koups wasn't bad. But we looked much better when Jaubs was out there! He is quicker from dummy half, and more decisive. I felt on a few occasions that Koups wasn't sure what to do from dummy half. He jumped out, then thought about running, then thought about passing and confused himself

I'm sure JJ's stats on grubbers are better than Koups. Last tackle and bases loaded on both sides and he does that. Big mistake and I doubt he will ever try it again.

BTW when did the game change? When Jaubs came in for Koups. Not saying that Jaubs won us the game or Koups would have lost us the game but imo Jaubs should play 80 minutes. He gives us more as an attacking option and is just as solid as Koups in defense. An ok backup hooker but given JWH and Symonds to come back and potentially Friend, I see Koups as missing out.

I think the game changed when Carney put Pearce through in broken play, for the Maubs try. Their heads well and truly lifted then.

As for stats on grubbers, Kouparitsas is playing his what, 4th game at hooker ? I thought his defence was solid. Service was ok as well. Smith obviously sees value in the bloke in the first 15-20 and it seems to be working a treat as Jaubs gets on the field, ready to run out of DH.
